The Wasp is a dressed up mini. It is sound and strong just as all the others with a little decoration thrown in. The only thing you may hear of problem wise with the Wasp is the supposed problem some have been reported to have with the skeletonized hammer being a bit delicate. I believe this problem has been addressed and that you presently cannot go wrong with the Wasp.

The biggest difference is cosmetic. All of the recessed areas are flat black, which contrasts the SS nicely. I like the looks. It also has the bead front sight, which I feel is an advantage over the blade. Mine is serial numbered under 100, and I have had no issues with it. There are those who will point out how delicate the skeletonized hammer is, but there have only been a couple of reported issues on the board. NAA naturally has repaired both. If you were to have a problem with the hammer breaking, they will replace it with a standard hammer if you wish.

If you like the looks, get it. It will serve you well. If you don't care for the matt black contrast, be patient, get what you want. After all, you are the one who has skipped lunch, dug down into the sofa cushions and saved your nickels and dimes, to scrape up the pocket change.......  :)

I have have had no issues with mine. There are several on here who will point out how delicate the skeleton hammer is. There have been one or 2 reports of the hammer breaking. I may have been the first to make such a report, BUT, I feel my customer was largely responsible, although he never admitted to anything. NAA made the repair w/o question.
