I picked up a 22LR at a gun show recently. I'd seen them before but never gave them much thought.
I haven't shot it yet but maybe soon. As stated in other posts I am looking for a Black Widow but that looks like it will have to wait until the current silliness calms down.
My 16 year old daughter saw it and asked when we can go shoot it. The same daughter that the day before said of my AR: "I have no interest in guns". Ah well, if you can't hook them with awesome, hook them with cute.

I got the bayonet because...hey it's a bayonet!   ;D

Congrats on the purchase. At least, I hope it was a purchase, as you did say, "I picked up a 22LR at a gun show recently."   ;D

Not that the minis have not changed much, but yours looks just like my first one, even though mine was purchased over 39 years ago. It has since had several "cousins" come stay with it. You know how relatives are. Now they won't leave, and more are likely to "drop by". Let us know how it goes carrying the bayonet in your pocket.......

I find it ironic that some politicians are calling your Ruger 10-22 an assault weapon, simply because it has a removable magazine. How long before they also consider your first rifle pictured an assault weapon. After all, it is "just like" the rifles used to fight the British and win our country's independence, hence making it an "assault weapon".

Yours is the first AR I have ever seen with wooden furniture. I like it.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

Congrats on your first. I doubt that it will be your last.
"They" will take it unless you take the bayonet off it.

Grats, 54! I got one just like that with the bayonet. Unfortunately, I don't have a holster that accommodates the bayonet! LOL.

WELCOME!

Congrats on the new member to your family. I just bought a wasp. So I am new here too.... ;D

Yes ... I kinda like the wooden AR .... kinda looks Thompsony.

Yes, I did pay for it. LOL
Yes, I have the "scabbard" for the bayonet (it's sharp as all get-out!) I got it on Ebay and paid for it with pay-pal just for the massive irony.  ;D
I ordered the AR the day after the election debacle. At 11 lb as pictured, it's what is known as a "stable shooting platform". The wood and the scope add a pound each and the heavy barrel tops it off. I also have the A1 and A2 furniture to go with her formal "outfit". (AR's are like Barbies for men!)
Unfortunately, I picked a lousy time to start a new collection! Maybe by summer this silliness will have cooled off a bit.

I hope so.
But I don't think so.
