The Subject is introduction enough.....Folks..I bring you the latest of my ever growing Mad Hat Leather products. IWB BW With Monogram, BT Pocket II, Ivory Scrimshaw Monogram 22 Shorty Grips.

(Jason...You're THE MAN!!!) Just a side note for every one. Jason's attention to detail is SO thorough that he even REVERSED the mounting screw so that this Leftys Shorty Ivory grip shows only my Monogram with the screw neatly tucked away to my inside. Now THAT is going the extra mile!!

Excellent pics Zip!!

I recently had Jason make a waistband holster for my Pug. I didn't think of having it monogramed, darn it, that would be really neat.

Thanks Snubs! I almost didn't ask for the Monogram in time!! lol It was an after thought and I caught him a day or two before my holsters came up on the list. I'm glad I did get the Monogram. It's my understanding he did that free hand! He said he didn't have stenciling tools....if you ask me, he doesn't need them!!!

Perty break-top holster. I like!

I left that entirely up to Jason as to what style, color etc. he made the BT holster as. I carried it yesterday and today (unloaded) just to see how it felt, and other than having to move my EDC SOG Twitch XL to my back pocket to keep the two from making any contact, I didn't even notice it there. Mind you, I'm 5'8" and 155-160lbs. Wearing my carpenter style Dickie canvas trousers, the BT stayed upright with no binding when I sat down. My usual daily carry is my Pug in a "Pocket" that resides in my back pocket opposite my wallet. The "Pocket II" is the perfect fit for me with the BT, because it would ride too high in my back pocket at a height of 6 1/8" from holster bottom to the back strap of the BT. Width is 3 3/4" and is staggered. I know it's hard to visualize without measurements, so I hope this helps some decide what holster is best for their BT. Cheers!!

Zippo,

Thanks for the pictures. I just ordered a pocket II for my breaktop, and after seeing these pictures I am sure I made the right choice in holster type. Very impressive style and workmanship. Looks just about perfect for the BT.

Sure glad they became available so soon.

   I also carry a SOG ( twitch II )

Heya Ephraim! If you love the Twitch II (Which was my first SOG,) you'll REALLY love the Twitch XL. The low carry clip, more purchase on the handle etc. I was hesitant to go to the larger XL for fear it would be TOO bulky. I don't even know it's there, where with the Twitch II, the top protruded from my pocket, so it was a constant reminder of it's presence. The Deep carry clip on the XL really makes ALL the difference in comfort when sitting and it's reversable. I've got all three in the series and the Twitch I is cumbersome due to it's small size, the Twitch II, although GREAT for EDC, still lets you know it's there when you sit down. All just my opinion of course. IF I had to give up my XL, the II would take it's place.

Okay Zippo, You convinced me. I will look at a XL. I like the SOG products. My twitch II's action was very stiff at first, but after some wd40 and a lot of action, it smoothed right out.One thing I like about the "II' is the clip gives you a good place for your middle finger to stablize the knife in opening the blade. I think the spring assisted items are the way to go. With practice they can be very fast.

I just received my Madhat mini-mag pocket

holster.  I heard so much about his work here

on the forum, that I had to try his work!

It's a very well made holster, and quite comfortable.  No flaws at all .  Thanks, folks, TACC1.

lol, there are a couple of folks who have more then a dozen of my holsters.. one has purchased right around 20 holsters from me for assorted guns and carry options... me personaly, I have narrowed my main carry holsters down to 2 holsters for each gun, depending on what gun I am carrying and what holster fits the best in my pocket.. I have a micro pocket for each of my NAA's and a pocket II for my off sized watch pockets or lack there of in some cases... I do have a strong pocket for my widow though... my wife ends up with ALLOT of holsters though lol
