there must be some sort of spandex elbow brace that one could sew a pocket on the lower inside and tuck a mini in there. You could jog and still have quick and easy access to your carry. Just a thought.

TwoGunJayne

I just had a mental picture of several minis stuck inside the velcro of a back-brace belt. Tear back the velcro a little further when you run out and need another mini. Have a few more minis tucked inside the belt. You could have at least ten in one of those.

Heh. "The Concealment Brace."

Awesome, concealment brace is a killer idea.

Still difficult to get to in a hurry. :(

I used to have a store bought version of the back brace which was called a Sky Marshall Holster. It was mainly just a wide strip of velcro with a leather patch where the gun went...which went around the midsection aiming to hold a small semi auto or snubby under the hollow of the  pertinent side breast bone. Some say they was fat man shoulder holsters. I sewed some straps on mine to keep it from sagging. Looks there are still variants of it out there in the world. Person get one of those they could prob carry twenty minis..or maybe a couple of real guns..lol.

Well wished I had a floppy wobbler. Just got my grand prize winning mini back from the horspital in Utah when much to my surprise they have not put the wobblers on it. Had real purty reddish brown looking regular grips. Nearly broke my heart..then I get to putting it through the paces and its getting froze up somewhere on the cocking cycle. It started out with a free wheeling cylinder which was the main reason it got sent back to start with. The floppers were just sort of an impulse buying frenzy. Now I got to mail it all back and start over. Fortunately the nice lady did say they foot the bill on the shipping. What a deal huh? Now I got to go track down a Fed EX place and hope the guv'ment or Chicoms dont attack in the meantime. The Warden is not happy since it was supposed to be special present just for her. Wimmen are funny like that huh?

I got some pals who could hold a family of Vietnam orphans under the big beer bellies and nobody ever notice..lol.
Hey good news on the mini front. I squirted it down with WD 40 real good an started cocking an decocking and it seems to have quit getting stuck in the 3/4 cocked position. Think maybe some new parts maybe fitting a little snug in there. I am going to call them tomorrow and see if they will just send the the wobbly floppers instead of trying to track down a Fed Ex place.

TwoGunJayne

I bet you could try different bits of plastic, cut with scissors, to shim the folding grips. They probably wouldn't even have to be square! I've purchased many a folding knife that used this method to shim the blade to the handle. After that, it's "all in the tuning" with the tightness of mounting screws. If you put silicone sealant (window sealant, gasket sealant, etc, etc) on the screw, it tends to stay put for longer.

I've got more than one knife that has received a "tune up" in this way... silicone adhesive and a bit of allen wrench action.

Well I don't ever like to be a parade rainer but I know this fella who wore suspenders for quite a while due to what the other nice person say about not having any withers..like is lacking in a mule. He claim if a fat boy lean over a long way they pop loose and give a whop in the back of the head. if they lean over backwards..while playing the limbo stick dance in the Caribbean for example.. it can break loose in the front and pop out an eye. This sounds like a risky scheme to some no doubt.

labrat

I just carry my Pug in my shirt pocket, with a piece of folded paper in front of it (paper inside the pocket) so it does not print.  Quick, easy, and cost nothing.

Bigbird48

@Bigwheel that why you wear western suspenders that lock onto a special suspender button or lock on to belt loops. They don't pop loose. Course something can always break LOL

bigwheel

I dont know any cowboys with suspenders like that. Around here they have belts with their name on the back in bold lettrs...and big shiney belt buckles in the shape of Texas. Sounds like somebody trying to trick a fat boy into a potential skull fracture. hmmmm.

boone123

I carried a NAA 22 short, and later a 22 LR for years in a folded big red hanky in my back pocket. 30 years, maybe?
Last few years  I use a ankle holster with a 22 lr mini most of the time in the summer while riding motorcycle, most everyday.
Winter time I add a Pug in a Madhat belt holster, or sometimes a Smith 38 J-frame. Or maybe a Black Widow in a coat pocket.
I don't live in a gun-free zone, so not much threat. If I go tripping  in a truck, or car, I always have something  bigger and better along also.

Hey Boone..noticed you forget to mention your high dollar biker vest with the huge secret pockets. Hope that was just an oversight..lol. If not go snag this one. Its the kind me and the president of the Hells Angels wears. Quality and service is outstanding. It has two inside pockets which can hold a case of beer in each one..nearly..and nobody ever know you got it in there. I have some belly churning action photos of me trying to make Mr. Sig appear from the depths. If yall ever make me mad..I may post one..lol.

bigwheel.
No biker vests. They are all built for short or fat people.  To get one thats long enough, they are mostly big enough to fit over my parka. One thats slim enough, exposes my belly button because its to short. I am 6ft. 2 in. with a 35 waist, and a 32 inseam. Long way from belt to the top.
Regular work vests like Carrhartt, extra large, tall. I did have a leather and cloth Harley vest about 15years ago, that fit, but it shrunk.
Looking for the right vest at Sturgis every year gives me a reason to be there.

jw1128

Too bad my wife wouldn't let me wear that vest, that would solve all my issues.

bigwheel

Clicke the link they will fix you up. I go 6'3" 275 or so..and go 40x34 on jeans and all I got is a top part..and used to have a 35" waist many moons ago...lol. Now I would not think of tryng to stick it over an overcoat. If its real cold might be ok to wear under. The one I got hits about top of the belt level on the bottom side. Course our friend is on the inside so it dont matter about that. Now I have a real fat neck and should have had them cut a bit of extra room on that part cuz it bunches up a little around the neck. Should not be an issue for a nice skinny guy with a normal head.  Hey Jw..I feel the pain of your little bride. That vest is a chick magnet.

Bigbird48

GAWD $199 for a vest boy do they see people comin or what. :-X :'(
Hey I wear a $38 denim vest with two inside pockets big enough to hold what ever you want to conceal in there. 2 45's, 2 9mm, 2 357 revolvers what ever plus two nice outside chest pockets big enough for a mini wasp or bw on each side, plus 2 side pockets big enough for a couple more guns of your choosing. Try putting 6 guns in that 199 vest LOL

TwoGunJayne

I have a leather shirt that was on clearance for $20. I've had that thing maybe 10 years. It holds 2 .380s, 2 .22 minis and a .32 guardian all day. A stiff outer shell helps a lot, especially if the inside pockets are suspended from the liner and not connected to the outer shell.

Proper liner design and pocket connection are more important than how many pockets it has.

boone123

I mentioned Carhartt vests in post above. They cover up my belt gun and with outside, and inside pockets it is easy to carry a couple of more guns. Four if needed. Don't wear said vests if to hot or to cold. In hot weather I run with t-shirts and jeans most of the time. Thats why the ankle holster. I do try to keep an eye out on whats around me, and have moved mini up to a pocket a few times.
I learned when I was young if I looked like the hunter rather than the hunted nobody much bothered me, but with age you lose some of that. Might be time to figure out a simple way to carry bigger and quicker.
Or maybe stay on the porch, NOT!

I see a lot of people carry in pocket holsters, but because I am so proud of all the junk I carry, I don't have room.

I like pocket carry mainly because walking to the car in any random parking lot, i can have my hand on my weapon ready if trouble comes my way, and look normal walking to my car.  These days you never know where trouble is going to pop up.

Thanks for the info sounds like a good plan on the denim vest.  Where you get it at?  Would not mind to have one. Seems like I even tried to find one a couple of times with no success. Always glad to add to the available options. I had a reversible goose down nylon shell model with pockets on both sides that was great for packing a small frame auto on the inside..or two if you wanted. Think the biker vest could hold 20 of those. Its basically a hollow shell.  Anything between the leather and the lining is storage from the belly button to the back bone on both sides and from the neck down. Not counting the smaller inner pockets which can hold all kinds of exotic stuff.

I am not saying a better price could not be found but sometimes one has to pay more for style and to look good. The denim vest sounds like it can do the same job as the leather but does it look as good doing it?

Buying a suit; is the one at JC Penney going to look and fit as well as the one bought and fit at The Town Squire or Jos A. Bank or a handmade suit made in England? Usually the latters are going to fit, feel and look much better but of course they will cost a bit more.

@ BigWheel-- Any Levi's Jacket and cut of the sleeves will do,  most have the pockets I mentioned.

@ roguets1-- Hey if price is not a factor, and style and good looks and leather is your thing then by all means go for it. Me I prefer Jeans and Denim in the hot weather, which is most the time. On the few cool days we have I have a lite weight Leather Jacket and When I cross country I have a heavy leather jacket and I pack it all cause ya never know what weather your gonna run into.

bigwheel

Ok Bigbird gotcha on the sleeveless Levis jacket. Thanks. Also good point Rouguets on the leather gear. There are a bunch of cheaper choices out there for leather concealment vests. I bought a pal a cheap made in China leather carrying vest a few years back for Christmas for about the price quoted on the denim. Looked like it would work ok but not near as nice or fancy as mine. Did notice the cheap model was remarkably lighter in weight which might be considered a good point in some circumstances. I do not do coats or vests n the summer. That's where the Cossbreed holster comes in. That takes only to wear a shirt with the tail tucked out and nobody knows you got it.

jw1128

Has anyone used a photographer vest?  They are light weight but have a ton of pockets.

My winter coat is an Army aviator jacket with a zip pocket on the right arm. The mini's fit perfectly in them.

I have never bought a real concealment vest (though I am tempted), but I sometimes carry in the inside pocket of a leather western style vests. A lightweight Mini in a pocket holster wears fine in most of my vest pockets. I prefer leather over other materials for my vests, though at work I usually wear an oilskin Outback vest. They have bigger inside pockets and are definitely able to support a bigger handgun.

bigwheel

Thanks for the scoop on the vest and coats. Know its not an ideal time of year to be looking for such stuff..but wanted to give a link to some low cost leather. This is the the vest I bought for a pal a few years back for 38 bucks. Looks like they have went up a little. This place is supposed to be the Wally World of biker gear. Have another chum who has worn one of their cheap leather jackets for 30 years and he is a happy camper with it. He uses his bike like most folks drive cars. Also noticed some stylish Western cut leather vests at Cabelas a few years back. Sure they are more expensive than this one.

It's the blue variant of the Payless Shoes Glock Holster. It also comes in black! :)
Of course it comes in black, it would be rather un-glockish if it didn't.  ;D
