...would make for a neat little vendor exclusive, or maybe even a six shot .22LR 1 5/8 inch barreled black frame with hogue grips would be neat.

I know that they've done this before with the blackjack, but I think it would be cool to have more obvious and  dedicated little BUG in .22LR. with the black coating, tritium sights, pebble grips and 1 1/8 inch barrel.

I suppose I could probably build one if I could get ahold of the ellett brothers vendor exclusive with the tritium sights, but I would have to do the bluing myself and get the grips aftermarket...

Also, I'm humbly asking the old timers to the forum who know alot more than I do to give your input on a six shot .22LR revolver, I know that would increase the size of the cylinder but would that make the tiny revolver a moot point?....love NAA, and I love its ability to go where other firearms dare not go.

I too am having a hard time finding any NAA product here in Michigan, I plunked some cash down on a .22 mag with folding grips simply because I know that someone in this family could use one on there belt sooner or later.

Does anyone have the ellett brothers 22LR with nights sights for sale???

thanks for the input gentleman.

luke1 - the smallest current production .22 sixshooter that I am aware of is the Ruger Bearcat. It is still quite a bit bigger than the NAA revolvers. I do not think it was designed or intended for concealed carry like the NAA's. It would be kind of nice to see some of the older models like the Colt Bankers Special that were designed for concealed carry brought back into production. Here is a comparison photo of a Ruger Bearcat and a NAA Earl and Sidewinder.

That bearcat looks to be about the same size as the affordable "Heritage Rough Rider" .22lr/mag convertible. I'm very sure the Ruger is much nicer, but with the price of the Heritage you can get two. :)

Uncle_Lee

There is a short barreled Bearcat out now called the "Shopkeeper".

It is cute and I carried birds' head 45's for years, handle does not print, Extremly high, at that time live and dry fire experience with them. Problem with 22 maag is less than 100 rounds :( darned hoarders. Only have NAA in 22mag. Told myself 4 years aga, no new calibers. That was after I scrounged to get reloading components for 30-06.

For my $.02 worth, the minis are just about perfect for their design purpose: A small self-defense weapon for those times when you can't or you don"t want to carry a bigger gun. By making a 6 shot, it will have to be bigger. It would also require totally different tooling to make the 6 shot cylinder and a bigger frame along with the different parts to actually make the revolver work. That could turn into a large investment of time, capital and manpower. As things stand, it seems NAA can't catch up with current demand. Thus far, Sandy has stayed within the market niche and, from all outward appearances, is quite successful. I suspect he would be reluctant to move into a new market, which is what a 6 shot revolver would do.

I like your thoughts of the tritium front sight. I have considered buying a Pug jsut for that reason. For me the Pug is too bulky and I can't justify the bulk just for the tritium. I have been watching Ellet Bros for quite some time and have not found the mini you refer to in stock. If and when I do, I will order several for the shop. Who knows, I may end up keeping one. I can't tell the difference in my pocket if I have a 1 1/8 or a 1 15/8 barrel. I opt for the longer barrel, which does give more velocity than I had previously given it credit for.

The Ruger Bearcat is referred to as a fishing/hiking/camping gun. It is a fair bit smaller than the Heritage Rough Rider series, which are the size of the Ruger Super Single Six, and much easier to pack/carry all day. It takes a little more practice than the larger sized .22s, but it is a very consistent, accurate handgun, sufficient for taking small game for fresh meat while out in the woods, if needed or desired.

Thanks for the information about the rider size, was just at the LGS and forgot to look at it, probably don't really want it huh, he had no 22, lr or mag. I carry the 4 inch mini master in a shoulder bag for survival needs and the Bearcat in a backpack in the wife's van with two TD 22's and food and water.

Argh! The Bearcat is calling me!

...but what about some single action "HIGH CAPACITY" action?!?!?!?

OMG! 12 shots! (Feinstein) BAN THEM ALL! (/Feinstein) Here is the single action cowboy "high cap" Democrat-heartburn-inducing pistol you've always wanted!

..and it's based off of a design that's over 100 years old!

I was wondering how the Rough Rider sized up compared to the Bearcat and Single Six. Here is a photo of an NAA cylinder, a Bearcat cylinder, and a Single six cylinder. The Bearcat cylinder is a lot bigger in diameter than the NAA. It really is more of a belt holster gun than a pocket gun. I have not been able to get my hands on one of those Shopkeepers yet. I agree with Grey that the NAA Minis are pretty well perfect for slipping into a pocket.

I have handled a Shopkeeper. Feels good. Want one really bad. I just hope its not just a short run thing.
If you think Uncle Lees need for a 32 mini is bad, you should see my need for a Shopkeeper!
