The target was a B-27 slihouette, gun was a 3" Earl with the LR cylinder.  Shooting was offhand, two handed, at 10 yards.

CB Short CCIs:  fired 5 shots, only found two holes, both 8 rings but on opposite sides of the target.  Three missed or went into other groups, I suspect three complete misses.

22 LR Rem Golden Bullet HPs:  fired 5 and shot 5 more to confirm.  Six shots were in the X ring, two in the 10 ring and two in the 9 ring.  This is more like it!

22 Short Rem Golden Bullet solids:  fired 5, they clustered around the 8, on the center of the of the left side, of the 8 ring.

Conclusions:  LR GBs hit pretty much where the sights align and are quite accurate.

Rem GB Shorts hit off to the left, this I already knew from previous shooting.  GB Shorts are milder than GB LRs.

CCI Short CBs are the mildest but the least accurate.  This was a big surprse.

I've been hunting and missing grasshoppers with the Shorts and Short CBs, now I know why I missed.

Shooting NAA revolvers is fun.

The Earl is a pleasant fellow.

PS: I tried the CCI Short CBs in a rifle, they were very accurate, offhand, at 10 yards.

I like the sound of the CB from a rifle, good for pest control in the city.

One thing is for sure, minis have personality!  My short mini loves cci CB for accuracy and hates Rem GB short. That's really the only mini I run shorts through, and save the shorts for it.

I was plinking my steel spinners with it just the other day. Good times, though I'd gotten a little rusty. We're just getting out of the nasty cold, wet season here. It's been a while.

MikeSSS - I also have a 3" Earl and I agree that it is a fun gun to shoot. I shoot CCI CB Shorts and CCI Target Shorts more than any other rounds. I find them quite accurate but they do tend to tumble a bit. I have not shot Remington Golden Bullets out of my Earl. I like the sights on the 3" Earl better than most Mini sights.

If I shoot a Mini for fun, it is a 3" Earl. My carry minis get shot enough for me to stay feeling comfortable with them.
