That's a CZ Skorpion.Uses the 7.65 Kurtz round (sounds better that .32 ACP, doesn't it). Ours loves cheap Serbian ammunition. Supposedly the auto version of this gun was a favorite of the East German Secret Police. I believe it also appeared in the Matrix movies. We got ours through CDNN, I think. They were closing them out for $289. Came with multiple mags, holster, mag holders, etc., all cosmolined. I believe they have a similar version of the same gun now for about $600, thanks to Ms. Feinstein. It's a fun gun, shoots surprisingly well and draws a crowd at the range. Seem very reliable and field strips without tools for cleaning.

Alan.

TwoGunJayne

I have shot a CZ Skorpion that has never jammed... ever. It fed while I shot it and the owner insisted he's NEVER had a jam with it.

They're pretty accurate, though I think the sights are labelled a bit optimistically. I kept it on an 8x11 paper at 35 yards rapid fire. Sweet trigger!

In 2013, a crack group of blog posters were accused of formenting rebellion by a Homeland Security star chamber for complaining about the shortage of .22 ammunition. These men promptly evaded the emoticons of confiscation and are hiding on the Internet. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem...if no one else can help...and if you can find them...maybe you can hire...The NAA-Team!  8)

Heh. We are better shots than the A-team. We are capable of hitting things other than tires.

LOL. For the past couple of weeks, I've been catching up on old episodes of The A-Team on Netflix. Great fun. But, wow, with the guns and all of the shooting, there's NO WAY they could ever do that show again today. Not like that, anyway.

As for their accuracy, they are also pretty good at hitting the dirt in front of moving cars, as well as car gas tanks and anything else that can explode easily!

You gotta love the A-Team! ;)

bigwheel

Hey..who plays Mr. T on the NAA team? Who plays George Peppard?  Folks prob do not want to hire a pig in a poke so to speak. Just guessing.

Ray Charles was a better shot than anyone on The A-Team.

Mr. T. did not need to shoot anything. He had a real intimidating glower. Also nice haircut and bling bling.

Mr. T was always a teddy bear with a mohawk and a ton of fake gold. He might have seemed intimidating, but it was all faked. I always like him, but he's a goofball. Dirk Benedict from Battlestar Galactica was my favorite. (Oh, and all of the chick sidekicks.)

I used AmmoSeek.com to find the best buy out there for 12-gauge buckshot. Cool. I also bought a shotgun scabbard from the same company on the same order. More cool. ;)

theysayimnotme

I stopped by a large gun store today & it reminded me of that old song "Yes, we have no bananas, we have no bananas today." They are planning to open another store only 15 miles from me but I really don't see the point if they have nothing to sell. They said they are getting guns but everything they get is already presold.

MR_22

I think over the next few weeks, or maybe months, as the debate over gun control doesn't lead to big changes, the shortages and the buying frenzy will slow. I don't think it will stop until Obama is out of office, but I think things will get better soon. Gun prices and availability have already improved, but ammo still seems the be a big issue now.

TwoGunJayne

Ammo will stay up for a while. When brick packs hit $20-25 again (wishful thinking,) I was going to restock. $50+ for a brick is stupid. 300 rounds for $250 is beyond retarded, you can shoot a full bore rifle for that much.

I know I'm not the only one waiting, so...

OV-1D

Seems with my collecting handguns (40 years about) a such I've been collecting ammo to boot . Thought it was kinda crazy to have all this ammo sitting around waiting for retirement when I find a nice quiet place to relocate and start plinking again but I guess it turns out I might survive the economic crash and use it for barter . Got a shi* load of ammo now ..............always got a water hose close . But I truly believe this is just another bullsh*t game of politics just so these guys can pat themselves on their own backs for actually getting off their fat as*es and showing they really do breath and talk for their way over paid paychecks . It's strickly for their own personal gain still just so they can look themselves in the mirror and not feel like a such useless piece of shi* they really are , ALL OF THEM NO MATTER WHAT PARTY THEY ARE . Thieves in dress jackets and ties are still thieves , afterall they learned it from organized crime . We really have no more Patriots left in our Government just actors that live better than any of us REAL PEOPLE that support them . Heading this group is the black hearted devil incarnate THE MUSLIM himself .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

TwoGunJayne

I'm not too keen on having a foreign national as President in violation of law, myself. I was yelled at by a Democrat for being a "birther." How dare I say such things? The thing is, it looks like he's trying to destroy this Nation. Was there a good reason, again, for not having a foreign national as President? I'm not being discriminatory, I'm being realistic. How is this a problem? Did we want to capture Osama Bin Laden to make him President? Saddam Hussein? Slobodan Milosovich? Pol Pot? Fidel Castro?

It would be a scary thing indeed, if the current system wanted one of those folks to be President of the USA.

MR_22

I guess I'm collecting ammo, too. I guess some would call what I'm gathering to be an arsenal--some of those in the liberal news. To us gun guys, it's just a "safe stock." If it's available, buy it, because who knows when it will be available again.

I just bought 250 rounds of 12-gauge 00-Buck shot. Why? Heck, I dunno, I guess 'cause I'm expecting an onslaught of zombies at my house. Who seriously needs that much buckshot? I guess I do. It's going into my home-defense/apocalypse stash. Also bought a couple of 12-gauge bandoliers for them. Why not? They were cheap, compared to the ammo.

Now I'm seriously considering a tactical flashlight for the end of my shotgun.

Preparing for a zombie apocalypse can be fun. :) And expensive. :( Although this stash of buckshot wasn't as much as I thought it would be.

bigwheel

Good score on the buck shot. That could handle a bunch of zombies. Not sure what a person do with it if they cut us some slack and call off the attack. Not much fun to shoot...lol. Did they have O buck too? That is what I was raised on. The powers that be that bought the stuff think the extra bbs give it more of a chance to hit something was the theory any. Seems like the chart somebody posted Two Gun or you maybe?  O buck is chunking 12 .32 cals at em where with 00 its like 8 or 9 .33 cals. Now correct my thinking here. Thanks.

QuoteNow I'm seriously considering a tactical flashlight for the end of my shotgun.

Hey, Jennifer! I'm glad to see a woman post here for once! Don't worry, we are a polite bunch (mostly.)

Anyway, since you asked... a tac light for a shotgun... there are MANY options.

1. "Tri Rail" clamp for your magazine tube between the end of your pump and the end of the mag cap. Attach whatever you have using a picatinny clamp that fits your flashlight.
2. An "integral" pump fore end that accepts a specific and individual flashlight.

Admin! Jenny seems a little too trusting by posting her personal information, please talk with her about this. Nothing against Jenny, but anybody can read these posts. We're a friendly bunch, but I don't want to read bad stuff about a member of my community. I support you, Jennifer... A shotgun with a fore end light is the pinnacle of home defense. Can we get a post edit by.. umm... someone?

The shotgun tac light mounting method that I most suggest is one that gives you the maximum flexibility. This technology revolutionizes itself every 6 months to 5 years. Really. Once you get down into the guts of the lights and look at upgrade options, this requires serious electronics knowledge.

Shotgun tac light overview:

The current state of affairs... you might 60 lumens out of a light. Hopefully, you got one that can be upgraded. There are tiny pic rail mount lights that exceed 500 lumens. If you get a larger chunk of metal, you are looking at 2000+ lumens, this is twice as bright as a car headlight.

If you get high end custom lights at this time of posting, you're looking at 3 times the brightness of a car headlight in a soda-can sized package. The problem with this is that you'll blind the **** out of yourself at close range with night-adapted vision. The plus side is that you'll do the same to some goblin who's invading your home.

Best of luck, Jennifer. Please edit your post to remove your personal address. Better yet, please delete your post and keep on posting here. Don't do that again. We're a bunch of good people here. We will cover for you.

Any further questions, please send a Personal Message (PM) by clicking one of the links next to a posting person's avatar.

Again, good to see a new poster here. Please fix your post and come back with another line of thought. You showed some good thinking here.

See you, Jenn!  :)

Does the person who plays Dwight Schultz on the NAA A-Team also have to do episodes of Star Trek?

TwoGunJayne

Heh. Dwight did some Star Trek: TNG episodes.

Some one mentioned Slobodan Milosovich.
Check real deep into what he did and why he did it.

Dwight Schultz, or Murdock of The A-Team, was in 5 episodes of _Star Trek: The Next Generation_ over five years from 1990 to 1994. He played the character of Lt. Reg Barclay/Barkley (the name depends on where you find his name--I think Barclay is right). I liked his character, although he was kind of a loser. In one episode, he gets interfaced with a computer and loses his loserliness and become the most intelligent person on the ship, even more so than Data. (Actually, that might have been in the Star Trek movie in which he appeared, _Star Trek: Contact_. I dunno, I forget.)

But what does the reference to NAA mean? What is NAA A-Team?

Great pics. Bet that was a proud moment. I give up on Star Trek when the bald headed guy took over for Cap'n Kirk and Lt. O'houru? started looking a bit broad across the beam. Spock lost his brain etc. Events seemed to take on a life of their own during that time frame..all the old symbols came crashing down. I was a bit too old to appreciate the A Team but know my kids liked it. I even had a George Peppard haircut one time just to be in fashion. He is/was a great actor in my book. Not in the same class as Rod Steiger or Jack Palance..Jack Nicholson..Tommy Lee Jones..Robert Duval etc.. but not lagging too far behind. I have a pic of me and my pal Glenn Beck if anybody wants to see it. My Brother has some of him and the Queen of England. Now is that special or what?

MR_22

The Next Generation (with ol' Baldy) was the BEST Star Trek series of them all! I watched half of Deep Space 9 and then not much of anything after that. Saw a few Voyager episodes, but never got into it.

Yup, that are great pics to have in the collection. ;)

bigwheel

I had made a special attempt to like the bald headed guy and the black guy with the pony tail holder around his eyes. First episode I started getting waves of commie liberal propoganda puked upon my subtle sensibilities. I do not watch crap like that. Sorry. lol
