I thought this gun looked pretty cool. It is a large bore in a small package. Wonder if NAA could do something like this?

I love it when there is a name or initials.  Just think, that was a real person; who was he, why did he want a revolver, what does "The Puppy" mean, what was his occupation, what was his wife's name?"  Once you get the questions going in your head you can't stop!!

Snubsforme, I agree. I LOVE history. It is fun to imagine who owned it and what they did with it. Have you ever watched "Pawn Stars" on the History Channel? It is fascinating. They get some pretty cool stuff. Makes you wonder who owned it and what they did with it.

I think that puppy thing was intended to be a smaller version of the "bulldog" which was a popular gun and a bit bigger..............

Just a guess.............  neat old gun..........

I loved the "large bore", which is 9.5mm. Today, a 10 mm is considered medium bore.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

"If you need one and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again"

Large bore for a pocket gun of the time.

In the first Sherlock Holmes book, written around 1887, Watson, recently

wounded in Afghanistan, describes his vices:

"I keep a bull pup, and I object to rows because my nerves are shaken, and

I get up at all sorts of ungodly hours, and I am extremely lazy."

The "bull pup" was Watson's "old service revolver" which I

would guess to have been a Webley .455, a pretty big "pup."

Makes me wonder why we refer to our revolvers as dogs? Because

we count on them for protection? I count on my pug."
