Bigbird48

Dam I had to go back 3 pages just to see what the original question was.
THREAD DRIFT THREAD DRIFTMore thread drift thread drift[/size]

bigwheel

Are we sure its efficacious to be trying to deal with sleazy politicians? It might seem irrational to some. Spock would not got for it for a min.

OV-1D

I feel violated with all this thread drift .  ;) ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

I

I don't feel like editing posts. Oh well. On with the show!  :P

OV-1D

   NOPE !!!!  I'm worse !!!!!

You go away for a few days and look what happens!

Aaaaaannnyway...I got my holster from The Kid in the mail yesterday.  Really great work and a beautiful and functional piece of leather. The picture doesn't do it justice.

bigwheel

Mighty handsome ensemble. The Kid is obviously not only blessed with knowing how to work with leather but is also a great artist. I am totally highly impressed. Thought yall was blowing smoke up the coola for a short while. I shoulda known yall would not fib about such weighty matters. Do he ever give out free samples? Is there an easy tote the note payment plan perhaps? I predict the young artistes will go far in life. As long a he dont cut off his ear or something. Some of the nutty Eyetalians do that kinda stuff according to the edumacaional channel. Its hard to figger out stuff like this sometimes.

Urizen

Luckily, bigwheel, the prices are quite good, free shipping and all that. Might as well be a free sample. I don't know how you can put that much work into something and only charge fifty bucks for it...maybe it's just really easy :). I think I'll be ordering another from him soon. The sidewinder could use a couple outfits.  I'm also considering contacting him about a holster for the sheriff as well.

Uncle_Lee

The Kid's work is nothing short of beautiful. 8)

I think I asked this earlier, but I don't think it was answered. Anyone know why one the fiocchi 22 mag ammo it says "not for use in NAA firearms"?  Has anyone tried this ammo?

I

I haven't heard of the Fiocchi warning. BVH (Bitterroot Valley Hills) .22 mag carries the warning as well.

If it is anything like the BVH ammo, there may be increased chance of chain fire when you drop the hammer. That is to say, more than one round may try to go off. It isn't good in a revolver.

I haven't heard anything bad about Fiocchi .22 mag in a NAA yet.

Maccab

Blimey thats a rig and a half...

Maccab

I thought chain fire was a purely cap n'ball problem I, how does that happen with brass cartridges?

Maccab

That's what you call Automatic operation, never mind studs and cylinder grooves ha.

Recoil that eh, finger kept the trigger down an she's twisted the gun the cylinder has turned and the hammer flew back and fell with the force?

Do you mean this?

That's pretty interesting there Maccab . I believe that's what you get when you don't seat your primers deep enough on the reloads . One lucky girl also .

Maccab

The chamber... Do you mean the cylinder turned then with the trigger pulled and the primers as you state got compressed and detonated?

OV-1D

I believe yes to what you said , one of the other bullets kicked back when the first went off hitting the shroud . God was with that child that it wasn't the directly lined up on the frame , the unwanted fired one that is .

Maccab

That's a good idea, for my counter rotating chamber/barrel gun.

Maccab

Do you want a blueprint, no? He he...

Maccab

It would have been lined up though, more or less, enough, for the cylinder to have turned, hmmm...

TwoGunJayne

This is the third video I've seen of this. This is trigger re-pull under recoil. The most rounds autofired I've seen is 3 with something like this. It is like bump firing.

This is not chain fire, chain fire causes blood of the user to flow.

I

I saw two two-round bursts fired by a 90 pound petite blonde with this pistol.

Urizen

So, the jewelry store sent out what I wanted done on the sheriff to 2 engravers.  Both estimates came back at about 2x what I paid for the gun.  Just wanted a floral pattern on part of the frame and cylinder and some lettering on the barrel.  I've contacted the engraver Grayelky suggested. Does anyone else know of any good hand engravers that charge a reasonable rate?

Kentucky Kevin

I had three pistols, engraved about 12 years ago for $200 each

Is some excellent work on the engraving. I thought maybe we was looking at some initials or something. Could see how that type of stuff could get real expensive.
