Hello everyone, I just got a 22lr Mini and a 22 mag mini that I am falling in love with!

So much so that I decided to join my first forum to learn more about them.

I was wondering if there is any way to look up their serial numbers and find out what year they were made?

I fired them both yesterday at my range and enjoyed it.  Am ready to get one of concealed carry grips.  Also really want one of the Black Widows.  They look cool but are really hard to find around me here.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Capt Trader.  You have now entered into the twilight zone of NAA collector nuts.  If you like NAAs as we do you have found a home.   These guys on here know just about everything there is to know about NAAs.

glenn

bbgun ... don't I remember you said you live somewhere close to Moundsville ?

Hey Cappy welcome. I had the same set of questions about my little pride and joy mini too. Found the easy way is to call the 801 toll free number and talk to one of the cuties in Customer Service. She tell you all about makes and models etc. Have the granny readers and a flashlight handy so you can see the numbers. I had to make two trips seems like.

Capt Trader

Thanks I will try and call tomorrow.  I tried to copy and paste a pic of them but it won't let me.  Do you have to use photo bucket or something.

One is a newer .22 mag (starts with an E127) and the other is a similar looking .22lr (starts with L094) They are probably from the 90's or so, I just like to know what year my guns are "born"! Haha... Just found out my recently acquired Marlin 336 was "born" the same year as me!  Makes me want to keep it even more.

Also you really have to type out those letter things everytime you post or reply. They are hard to read! WAPITA!

bigwheel

Think I was partially blinded and cross eyed before I was alleviated from having to type in the crazy exotic letter/nubmer combos. Its some kinda torture test to see if you really want to hang out on here..or seems so. Some old timer on here told me about the time you start griping about it they go away..or maybe it was 15 posts. I forget right now..lol.
Great score on that Marlin. I have owned two personally and carried some owned by others. Love them to death for certain functions. I have shot Winchester levers and it drives me crazy when it looks like the guts is falling out of the bottom. What's up with that?  Snag yourself a Golden 39A in .22 caliber some time. Will make a person chunk rocks at them little peece a sheet Ruger 10-22s. That was by far the crappiest gun I ever owned. Keeps us posted on your exploits. Thanks.

Capt Trader

That is great news that I just have to wait the crazy letter thing out! Thanks Bigwheel.

What kind of scope or peep site do you recommend on my Marlin.  Just have the ladder now which will probably be good enough.  I just caught the firearm but 2 years ago and am slowly collecting and trading up, down and sideways to get the few things I really want.  Got the NAA minis on a whim and Love them.

Starting to just really like the smaller hand guns as a whole.  My primary carry is the Bond Texas Ranger in its custom holster.  Tell me you need more stoping power than one round of Critical Defense 45 Colt and one round of 3" OOO buck shot and I will tell you that you are a HORRIBLE shot!
Hahaha

Glenn,     Yep, I am  from Moundsville.  Born and raised there.  Born in '38, left in about 1962, lived in Pgh for about 45 years, retired in FL.  Been down here shooting my 12 NAAs and 3 Freedom minis and loads of airguns ever since.   Where are you from?

bigwheel

I had one of them Marlins which come with a scope and tried to use it for a while..but took it off. Those guns aint made for scopes and not having been in the military..i hate peep sights with a firm passion. Those saddle guns are not made for scopes. Cheek support is non existent..the precise point of aim changes on each shot due to the weight changing in the magazine..hot barrel etc. I would proudly shoot it with what sights it comes with if it was me. Great moderate range people..hawg and deer gun. No made for killing elk form one mountain top to the other. Has dissuaded a few ravenous grizzlies from time to time also..according to the old gun magazines anyway.

Capt Trader - welcome to the forum. Yes, the crazy letter thing goes away after a few posts. Congrats on scoring a couple of NAA minis. You do not have to use Photo bucket to post a photo. Click on the Attachments and other options link when you compose your post, and it will let you browse to the photo on your computer.

Dittos to Dinadan. This is by far the easiest place to post pics I have ever seen. No mystery at all. That is me on the left I think. BBQ cookoff down in the stockyards. Fella had died of a heat stroke out there the year before. We was trying to hydrate and bumped into a foul tempered rookie cop. Happens all the time huh? PS..Edit: I moved over to light beer shortly after this was taken and lost a bunch of weight. In fact could prob find some queen sized used clothes to give away free if any chubby boys in need of threads. Kindly give a holler for any in need. Thanks.

Capt Trader

Cool! Thanks Dinadan...

I did not even notice that little pull down arrow thing.

Here are my NAA Minis.  Can anyone guess what kind of animal pelt they are on?  :o

Ok think I may have an interpretation on some of these mysterious utterances. I think he said..they will trick you into buying stuff that most folks do not realize they need. Now is this hot or warm? They have apparently never dealt with any thrifty Scotsmen on stuff like this.

Please cite the number of the applicable patent or patents as the case may be.

I am consulting with Dubja about this. Pretty sure he has that crazy patent number wrote down somewhere. I will holler back when he happens to find it.
