I pocket carry a 22 buntline all the time.  I tried using it iwb and I didn't even like to iwb carry that little gun.

So basically its pocket carry or maybe owb for me.  Or something else creative.

Anyone carry a black widow or a 3 inch earl pocket carry?

How do you carry your black widow or 3 inch earl?

I carry my Black Widow in a pocket holster by Concealment Holster Solutions. It's very comfortable.

I tried a nylon ankle holster, and that was definitely not comfortable (or practical, in my opinion).

Gun is no good when its sitting at home.  I need something I can carry everyday, 100% of the time.

For my $.02 worth, get a 1 1/8 22 mag for pocket carry.

I have a 1 5/8 mag and a 1 1/8 LR I take turns carrying. I picked up a 3" Earl to carry in an inside vest pocket when I ride my M/C.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

i have a mini mag 1 1/8 i carry in the pocket with a madhat spare (extran cylinder pocket built in to the holster) but did just get the IWB holster for my BW and it is very nice as well. I have hand mad two holsters for my pocket for my BW and they to get carred. If you only have one gun. carry it if you have more then one gun they will fight to get let out and you will have to change up just to keep the little things happy. lol . I do vote for carry in some kind of holster Lots to look at and do report back with what you find. we all like to see new ways . just the other day a kangaro holster was brought to are forum to look at. So bottom like is have fun with your little new friend and look out they have a way of getting under your skin.

black widow w/pocket holster by harley.  madhat can fix you up also.  carried every day except for 638 s&w w/pocket holster.  dont carry any gun loose in pocket, too many things can go wrong.

I carry a BW in a home-made leather holster.  I changed the grips to the small size as found on the .22 mag NAA.  Works real well. I know what you mean about the gun being left at home.  I have basically 3 true concealed carry handguns.  The BW, a Seecamp, and a Model 60 S&W.  All can be pocket carried.  I find anything else to be a part-time deal.  I want a pistol that can be with me all the time.  The BW and Seecamp are the best for portability with the Model 60 the most bulky.  It still is easily pocket carry.  All must be Stainless due to rust resistance issues.  You can look at the pocket carry of the 1800s and see what worked for those guys.  Small and portable usually.  Some even carried larger bore with cut down barrels.

Riadat, how does your Buntline work? Is it accurate? I have 2 Buntlines I bought to pass down to my sons when they are older. About a year ago some people had some probs with their Buntlines not being as accurate as they should be, just wondering how yours is?

riadat

Mine is the long rifle version.  The buntline issue is with the magnum version and has to do with the rifling.  If you want to pass them down to ur kids take them out and shoot them now.  If there is an issue with them send them back to the factory and get em fixed.

I can one hand 5 shots in the head on target at 3 yards as fast as i can cock and pull the trigger.  At about 20 feet i can take my time and put five shots in the chest.  Anything past that its a crap shoot.

I own a p-64 and a smith 442, both pretty decent carry guns and the buntline is the one in my pocket.

I have put about 1000 rounds through mine.  I have had no problems with gun not firing.  The pin fell out of the cylinder and naa sent me a new one free.  When I first got the gun the grips broke when i took them off, naa sent me new ones free.

I trust my gun with my life, literally.

In the Sportman's Channel show "Handguns" they tested an old 1850's derringer, cap and ball. They shot it at point blank, 5 yards, 10 yards, and 15 yards. They could hit a silhouette at all but 15 yards. That is my standard for these minis. I think it should be as accurate as a 150 year old gun. I would expect it to be accurate up to 10 yards or 30 feet. Thanks for the update.

I carry my Black Widow in a concealment solutions holster.  I put on some Bird's Head Style, Pebbled, (PUG), slip on grips.  They conceal much better than the BW grips and are big enough, with a lot of practice, to be usable.  The package is invisible, even in dress slacks.

I carry my BW in the small Galco Sto-n-Go IWB holster.  I took it to a local shoe repair and had him stitch up along the side of the clip for a tighter fit.  It works great.
