Justdon, over on the KTOG site a guy did a nice review of the Rhino. It is worth checking out. http://www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1288708505/9#9">http://www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1288708505/9#9

As for me, is it sacrilegious to say I've got about what I want? I can't fit another long gun in the safe, but I'm not that into long guns, so it's ok. I've no Earl, and would like one, and for some reason, I've nothing in .357 and really should have a wheel gun and lever gun to fit. A new barrel for my T/C in .223 or .460 would be neat. As for what I'd like that is not on the market? That's easy, a modern version of the Smith and Wesson Volcanic pistol. In a modern cartrige like a .38 though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volcanic_Repeating_Arms">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volcanic_Repeating_Arms

What I'll probably do, though, is take the re-loading plunge.

sleddogn

dang kingrichard, you've made me drool like the dog i am, LOL

I may go for it sometime, they are kick butt looking thats for sure!

Dear Santa, I would Like a NAA pug and a nice 9mm I have been a good boy hehe. thank you.

Uncle_Lee

As of this minute I am fighting myself to keep from buying a pair of 3" Earls. I have found two new ones that are the dealer's last ones. A convertable for $221 and a mag for $192 plus about $20 for shipping both.

   What should I do?

   WHAT SHOULD I DO????

Buy em uncle thats a great price!

grayelky

Not that those are great prices, but I suspect the dealer is losing money - or VERY close to it!

Well I believe  last year I posted that I wanted a LW j frame snub .38 and just got around to that purchase.

I also wanted a .22 conversion Black Widow and settled for a NAA 1 5/8th's conversion instead.

So this year I still wand to add a Black Widow and also wnat to get a 6+ barrelled .44 mag. Something like a ruger Super Redhawk or a Smith 629.

Uncle_Lee

Human weakness took me over.

I am sending the money order this morning.

Yes, both. I couldn't stand to see one setting there lonley. Now could I?

If I run up on any more "deals", I will let You know and I received only one e-mail.

Thanks, now I won't HAVE to buy them if I run upon any that are too cheap to pass up.

Congratulations on the new additions Uncle Lee. I think I would have given those Earls a new home for that price as well.

A 9MM revolver with the cylinder shortened to take advantage of the length of the 9MM compared to the 38

I also want the kel-tec 22wmr PM30.

Lohman just get the sp101 in 9mm it is sweet shooting gun.  Accurate as any other gun I have except for my kimber in 9mm.

lohman446

QD, I have an SP101 and love it.  Is the cylinder the "right" length for the 9MM or is it the same length as the 357?.  This is what annoys me about 9MM revolvers, they tend to be minimal changes to an existing 38 frame and do not take advantage of the shorter 9MM cartridge

How do 9mm revolvers account for no rim on the 9mm casing? My 9mm derringer has retaining clips for the 9mm case. Do the revolvers do that?

lohman446

Yes, moon clips or half moon clips generally.

Though the Medusa (do want) used a unique "finger" method IIRC.

SP101 Chambered in 357 for under 300 bucks good price?  Question is how is the warranty if your not the original owner as this one would have to go in for repair?

heyjoe

charter arms is suppossed to be coming out, for the last two years now, with a line of revolvers in 9mm .40 and 45 acp which dont require moon clips.

you can fire the 9mm ammo in the smith and wesson 940 without moon clips but they may be rather difficult to extract, depending on the gun.

Yes moon clips for rimless cartridges. The cylinder is the same size roughly.  It doesn't effect accuracy, can't tell with ballistics.  The 9mm does better out of the barrel than .38.  I would like to add a gun to the wish list for 2011.  http://www.ruger.com/products/gunsiteScoutRifle/models.html">http://www.ruger.com/products/gunsiteScoutRifle/models.html

This gun looks bad to the bone.   I could sell all my rifles and have the do all caliber and rifle.

grayelky

Dang, Quickdraw. I really like that rifle. Don't need it. But I may have to have one anyway. Now, if it takes the M-14 mags, it's a done deal.
