Unfluted cylinder

Why is this a Pro? Is it a functional thing or just cosmetics, to you?

Bigbird48

@TJAY wow all the way back to June 3rd, I had to find that post to see what was said about the unfluted cylinder. Well I don't know Bleak-Widows motives, but from my point of view its not a functional thing as all the cylinders both fluted and un fluted work well. So that leaves cosmetic and I would have to believe that's why the widow mentioned it, he or she likes the looks of the non fluted cylinder.  I had my Black Widow un fluted cylinder engraved and IMHO the engraving looks better on an unfluted rather then fluted cylinder

ikoiko

Hey! B Bird! We need pictures!

Fluting may save weight, but seems more cosmetic on minis.

Oops! Didn't realize I was dragging up an older thread. I was just browsing and saw this. The reason I ask is because I've got a Black Widow on order with the fluted cylinders and just wanted to make sure I wasn't making a mistake. I, personally, like the flutes of the regular mini(not so much the Wasp).

When this pattern has been kicked around the industry as long as THIS one has, it isn't so much of a sin. Questions you have? Ask. Someone here will deal you in spades.

For now,my pug. If I had the original Blackjack then it would be that gun.

boone123

A couple of days ago, my short, yesterday, 22LR, today, my Pug, tomorrow, my Blackwidow, next day, my Earl, day after,my Mini-Master, and so on down the line. To only have one. IMPOSSIBLE!  Only in your dreams.. Its like asking a mother which child she would keep.

tocsn40

The one in my pocket at the time ha ha
I do change up some
I do like the mag the one I have carried the most is 22 mag 1 1/8 in a madhat holster but now I carry my BW in a homemade holster

wish I could find a way to carry my black widow comfortably , its really a bit to heavy to my liking for my pocket, and I hate belt , or waist ban, just haven't found anything comfy enough. :-\

magnum_mike

Tried neck, shoulder, or t-shirt pocket carry? They make shoulder-holder shirts for that, too!

How about a set up like Robert DeNiro used in the closing scene of Taxi Driver?

Bigbird48

2gun and G50 I'll check both those ideas out thanks :)

I settled on the Black Widow Conversion model many years ago (1993) as a BUG.  The PUG was not out at the time, but would work for me in the BUG role as we'll.  I would not give up my BW for a PUG at this time as I do not see enough of a gain, if any, to justify the expense.  I have put thousands of rounds through my BW over the past twenty years with no problems and it has the old style cylinder pin.

And he thinks Tora, Tora, Tora  is a film about the early Jews writing the Old Testament.

Didn't have the heart to correct good old G50AE besides not knowing a New Yorker from a Californian is a sin in itself .  ;) Somewhere I heard it takes 50 Californian gay guys to equal one straight New Yorker guy , whats the point I don't have a clue just something I heard .  :)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Not all people in California are gay, nor do all gay people live in California, as evidenced by Texas having the most number of chapters of the Pink Pistols.

Didn't think sexual alignment was a requirement to show up and help protect the innocent...

It isn't like "Straight people join the Guardian Angels," or any of that. That org has its own image problems...

Goatpacker

I would rather see 20 Thousand people at a Gay Pride Ralley than 20 people at a Anti Gun Ralley!!! Sexual preference is a choice that people have a Right to make for themselves!!! Owning firearms is Right we all have a choice to enjoy!!!!

Back on topic I would say I love my 1 5/8" mini conversion for its speed and handiness but really starting to like the Widow for its accuracy!!! Don't think I'm willing to give up either of them!!!

I

I'd rather see 20,000 people from the Gay pride rally go protest the anti-gun rally!  ;D

...specially if it were one of those "leather rallies." This sounds like a prank in the making.  ::)

If I could only have just one NAA, it would be the Hogleg conversion for superior ballistics and ammo selection. :)

Um, no that's a WWII flick about the Pacific Theater.  And for your information Tokyo Rose is not actually a flower.

After owning/shooting more than a few different models, I thinned my NAA's down to one - a Black Widow LR.Mag Convertible with rubber birdshead grip panels.

Short of financial concerns, WHY????

@ Gratelky-Short of financial concerns, WHY????
