Just picked up a .25 NAA at a gun show.  Neat little gun.
HOWEVER, where can I buy some ammo.  Seems like no one has the Corbon ammor for this.  Even Corbon says they are on back order.

Also, any tips on this gun?

Thanks,

Trooper Joe

Welcome aboard , all I can suggest is any of the auction sites I've seen some on those . Gunbroker , Gunsamerica ,Gunsinternational , GunAuction.coms .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

If this cartridge is one that you are going to make regular use of, then I would suggest investing in reloading equipment.  I know that I am not directly answering your question, but consider that this cartridge is certainly a less common one.

Hello Trooper Joe,
Welcome aboard.
I will start with a silly question.
Have you tryed getting the ammo from North American Arms?
Did you price the ammo before buying the pistol?
Right now all that I see is going for over $2.00 a round.
So therefore I agree with G50AE, get set up to reload the round.

ANYONE NEEDING 32NAA!!!!!
I was just checking for 25NAA and saw where Cheaper Than Dirt has Hornady FTX 80 grain 32NAA for $17.46 for a box of 25.
I have never seen them that cheap. Even before the "shortage".

Just found out Cheaper that dirt is NOT cheaper by all means , I would do without and sell the gun if that was the only place for ammo . I got ripped only once wouldn't happen again . No cheaper than anywhere else .

heyjoe

cheaper than dirt has been amongst the worst of the ammo gougers in this current panic and the previous one. they are BAD news.
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

Cheaper Than Dirt really has jacked up .22 ammo amazingly. I would not believe that anyone would possibly pay the prices they marked - but after a day, or just a few hours, it would be out of stock again, so I guess someone did buy it. $79.99 for 100 .22 Longs? Now they are all the way back to $29.99! Good grief! $49.99 for 50 .22 mags, and they are sold out again!

One other thing I have to say about reloading.  You probably won't end up saving money reloading in the long run, even though your cost per round goes down quite a bit.  ??? You will end up shooting a lot more, taking better care of your firearms, becoming better skilled with your firearms, and having a lot of fun too.  ;D

And that's about all I have to say about reloading small arms ammunition.

In the past 20 years or so I have made at least 100 purchases from Cheaper than Dirt and have never been unhappy with anything about them.
Gougers?
Find .32 NAA any where cheaper than CTD is right now.
If I didn't already have 500 rounds put away, I would order some more from them today.

Thanks guys for the info.  North American Arms is sending me a good supply of JHP (20 Round boxes) and FMJ (50 round boxes). [Just ordered it this morning.]

I almost succumbed to the $2.00 rip off at http://www.ammo-one.com/25NAA.html but noticed that not only would a box of 20 be $40, there also seemed to be a huge S&H charge on top of it.

I know this ammo is in short supply, but if I was ammo-one.com, I would have priced it reasonably (maybe a $1 a round) and then just run out of it.  I doubt I would ever buy ammo from them due to this pricing structure they employ.

Really looking forward to shooting and carrying this gun (Guardian in .25NAA).  I also plan to make my own snap cap out of an aluminum, A-Zoom .32 ACP snap cap.  I can turn it down to the proper dimensions when I get my new ammo.

Does anyone know if the .25NAA round chambers on the shoulder or rim (reference "headspace" dimensions?)

Thanks a lot and I will let you know how it shoots.

I am really impressed with the quality of this gun.  After I finally figured out how to take it down and reassemble it properly (it is no where near as bad as my 9mm Rohbough was), I was even more impressed.

Just some thoughts,

Trooper,
Do you have any ammo for your pistol?
The cheapest that I have seen 25 NAA in the last year has been $2.09 a round.
$1.00 a round was about (give or take .20 a round) what the price was before the "shortage".
I would be about the same charge for S/H on 10 boxes and it is for 1 box due to the hazard fee.

I think 22 LR should be 5 cents a round but it just ain't any more.
I think it is like gas. We will never see $2.00 a gal gas again.
We will never see $2.00 a box for 22 LR again. They might come down to $5.00 or so, but any lower.

Uncle Lee,

I just checked and my package from NAA is enroute via UPS, so I guess I can spill the "beans".

Got 8 boxes of 20 round per box HP for $11 a box  :) and 4 boxes of FMJ (50 round boxes) for $28 each.  Don't know how much they have but I hope at least that ammo "bubble" has broke.  Great folks at NAA for helping me out with this since I need to qualify for my LEOSA permit with this gun.

Some one ought to wip the $2 per round guys with a wet noodle  >:(

Thanks team,

Trooper Joe

Way to go, Joe.
Maybe the "bubble" HAS broke.
I sure hope so.
You just started my day off good.

Just got all 360 rounds of .25 NAA ammo via UPS this afternoon.  It sure is pretty.

NAA also sent me 5 .25 NAA rounds with no primer and no powder to make my own snap caps.  Made one really neat one with little round circles of plastic lid (looks just like a real A-Zoom snap cap).

Also turned down a .32 ACP A-Zoom snap cap to use as a .25 NAA snap cap. (My owners book warns against dry firing with no snap cap in place.  So I guess I am all set for now.

Picked up a .32 ACP, Guardian magazine from a local gun shop.  Doesn't have the dimple on the mag follower, but seems to work OK.  Price was right and I can always add the dimpled follower if needed.

Just got back from the range.  Everything is fine.  Had a couple of hiccups, but by the 3rd magazine through, it was not causing any problem.

The 50 grn FMJ are slightly longer than the 35 grn hp defense ammo.  These were FTF a lot at first, but by the 3rd mag through, were working fine.

The non dimpled mag follower was at first working neatly by putting the last empty case verticle (sort of stove pipe).  It served as an empty mag indicator and I thought I would use this for the main carry mag.  However, as the gun broke in, it was causing problems feeding the last round.  The gun needs the dimpled mags as designed.  May call NAA and order one along with a plain base plate for this extra .32 acp mag I bought.

All in all, I really like this gun.  It sure speaks with authority at the range.  Kind of fun telling the guys I am shooting a .25 when asked. At 5 yards, I was putting all shots in a standard target.  If I was real careful, I was getting some pretty good 2" groups also.

I did see somewhere that after about 2 mags, you should field strip it, and wipe out some of the crude, and re-oil it.  I did this and it really worked well.   (In a fire fight, you propably will not even reload so this is a none issue.)

Congrats, Joe. I've never even seen a .25NAA for sale. I have a .32NAA and ammo seems to be much more available for it. Hornady even makes some of it now, but I don't know if they make .25NAA.

Good luck with ammo. I'm thinking that as the ammo famine continues to wane, that you'll see some of it become available.
