Do any of you use the NAA IWB HOLSTER and how do you like it?

I have the NAA in waistband holsters and they work just fine. I haven't had any issues using them.  That said, I converted to pocket carry using Concealment Specialties and prefer that option more. Most of the time I am wearing loser fit pants with roomy pockets that accommodates this.  However when I am in tighter fitting jeans wear a faster SD draw might be hindered, I use the NAA IWB holster.

Here are some pics with the NAA IWB and Concealment Specialties holsters (with BW, SW, PUG):

Yes I use the NAA IWB holster for my 1 5/8" barrel mini.  Although not use to carrying in that manner, the little holster and gun can become almost nonexistent, by that I mean you forget you have it on.  Also, with this holster one can wear inside between belt and waistband and can also wear as a cross draw or wear as a belt holster by just running your belt thru the clip.  I have a driving holster from patriotjoe and yesterday I found a leather belt holster on clearance from Kirkpatrick Leather for $8, so ordered one of them, these are mainly right handed holsters.  Check out Kirkpatrick Leather and scroll down menu on left margin to "DISCONTINUED".  I hope this helps.

I have the NAA Cross Draw but want a more concielable way to carry as this town is full of female gunazis...

plinker631, with the NAA iwb holster, it is very concealable.  I meant to say that in my earlier post.  Out of all the ways to carry other than in a pocket, I think this is the most concealable.  I wear mine all the time with shorts/jeans and a tee shirt and it is not visible.  I have put Ballistol on my holster  to help soften the leather, but one could do the same with any leather conditioner as long as it doesn't harm the firearm.  I like a belt holster when I am out in the fields and woods walking with my dog where conceal is not a issue.

Hey mdzcpa,

Are you using an IWB Black Widow holster for your Sidewinder? If so is does the Sidewinder barrel come sit almost even with the end of the holster?
I'm ready to order one if it's a good fit.

Thanks,

Randy

randy63, Sorry I do not have the sidewinder, just the 22mag conv w/1 5/8" barrel.  The IWB holster I have is the NAA one that is black and has metal clip on backside.  With mine now that I have softened up the leather to where the hammer is down in the holster where it doesn't dig into my side, the barrel is almost to the end of the holster.  Like I said earlier, I'm not use to wearing this type of holster, but I have gotten so use to it that I forget I have it on most of the time.  If you are like me (kinda on the slim/bony side) you may have to move it around till you find the sweet spot where it is the most comfortable.

Hey minishooter,

I meant to direct my post to mdzcpa. I looked at the picture of his minis and mistakingly directed my post to you. Sorry about that.  I'd still like to hear from mdzcpa or anyone that can tell me if the Sidewinder fits well in the Black Widow holster.

Thanks,

Randy

Randy the Sidewinder should fit any holster made for the 22 mag frame

Hey plinker631,
I know the NAA site indicates the magnum holster will work for the Sidewinder.  My local dealer has the magnum holsters in stock. It doesn't fit. Not even close. mdzcpa shows his Sidewinder in what appears to be a Black Widow holster.

Thanks for your response,

Randy

Hi Randy.

Fitment is always a bit subjective, but I really like how the Sidewinder fits into the BW IWB holster.  If you check my photo you will see the SW fits deeper and the holster fully covers the trigger which I prefer. There is still plenty of grip to grab as well.  Directly to your question, the tip of the SW barrel comes right to the end of the holster in my photo, so it cannot sit any deeper than what you see there.  I think it's a perfect fit. Frankly I wish the BW itself fit as well into the holster it is designed for LOL.  You can see the BW rides high with the trigger exposed a little.  I know its a single action, but I still prefer a deeper seat.

Hope this helps!

I just bought an IWB holster for my sidewinder. I found one on gunbroker. It's like the one from the link but mine is all tan. I post some pics when I get it.

my favorite is the RKBA iwb holster. I found that his holsters made for the Pug also fit the Sidewinder. He is making me a iwb now for my Sidewinder. I have been carrying a mini iwb on the right side and my sidewinder in a pocket holster in the left pocket. Works for me. I had him make a modification on his holster to extend the leather to cover the grip on the mini so that it doesn't touch me. Works very well. if you want to look his web site is

wd345,

That is a very nice holster. I really like the inside shield to keep body oil of your weapon and improve comfort. Nice.

Well I just received a small flap holster ( product of the month ) and what a piece of garbage it is . Pressed formed leather is what they seem to be using now so I suggest nobody buy this one anyhow , real junk and sent back for refund . Didn't expect this low quality from NAA but I guess it's everywhere nowadays .

I ordered the Black Widow IWB holster from NAA on Monday and it was delivered this morning. Couldn't ask for faster shipping. Unfortunately it's on it's way back to Utah. As mdzcpa states the fit is fantastic. The problem for me is that the Sidewinder's hammer spur digs into my back when I sit down. Now I could stand to lose twenty pounds and this set up may work great for someone that's not carrying that extra weight.

For now I'm back to using either my Absaroka Kid pocket holster or my Remora series 1 no clip IWB holster. The Remora really does work well but I haven't quite gotten used to using a holster that is passively held in place. The Remora also works great as a pocket holster.

I really like the looks of the RKBA IWB holster that wd345 posted. I'm going to look into getting one for my Sidewinder.

Randy63, I can tell you I have been wearing this one for a week now and it is very comfortable. I have the weight thing to and just have not found any other holster that I like till now.

That rubber plug is definitely a good idea.

Randy,

I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the NAA BW holster.  It does work well for me when I IWB carry but I position it directly at 9 (left handed) so the chance of hammer giving me problems is reduced.  My normal carry is 8 o'clock but that's for larger guns where concealment is more of an issue. Sorry for the bad referral  :-[

Mike, not to worry. I'm grateful for your help and willingness to answer my questions.

I found my new favorite carry IWB holster for my sidewinder. I was wearing my pistol out today and forgot it was there until I got home. It's so comfortable.
