Just bought a new Earl a couple of weeks ago. Noticed that the boot grip moves a bit. Tightened screw, didn't help. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your input!

It sounds like your boot grip needs shimmed. Not to worry, it's somewhat common with the boot grip and it's not hard to do.

I've shimmed boot grips with folded up strips of paper. Place them between the frame and the wood so that the grips don't move, then screw the grips on tight. Works pretty well.
