I wanted to be able to quickly open the holster grip while in my pocket so it was ready to shoot as soon as it was out.  I made a kydex/leather holster today. Check out the photo and tell me what you think.

Nice job!!! Does it work as you wanted it to???

Ichthyo

Yes, it does what I hoped it would. Maybe I can video a draw (with unloaded gun) and post it.

As one who has never understood the folding grip concept I would very much like to see a video. Its' possible, never having actually seen a mini with folding grips deployed, I might reach an appreciation of their usefulness and practicality.

Wow.

A folding grip gives you more fingers to control the piece under recoil. I've never been against it.

I understand that the posted pic is an experimental prototype and isn't supposed to be "stylish or pretty." Stylish first leads to failure, but it is an important principle once the design is hammered out. There's plenty of time to decide what color it should be after it works.

I like the posted pic. I like the presented design concept. It's a deep carry non-visible pocket clip pocket holster that allows you to "get it all done" in one pull... the draw. If life gets in the way and the pistol must be moved somewhere else temporarily, the clip gives you options.

I like it. Keep it up. Please post more.

OK. I've made a short video of the holster in action.  Unfortunately I had to upload it zipped to stay under the maximum file size.  So download it and have your computer unzip it.
I'm no fast draw, but I think I can master opening the grip while in my pocket in the pocket holster.

Looks like it works for you! I like that you use your pants to open it up fully. With some practice, I can see how it would be a decent draw that works for you.
