Idea for a hybrid grip

I love the idea of a stocked NAA Earl but how about make it totally in scale so the stock just runs on one side of your arm. You hold it there with one hand agains your arm to steady the gun and fire it with the other hand.  I don't think this would be a violation of federal regs cause it really is just a two handed pistol grip?  I think you would get a very steady hold this way?  Hope you can see what I am trying to describe?  I might do it with my Freedom Arms LR boot gun, it is smaller than the Earl and less likely to be seen as a rifle?
