Gunshow today - saw a Rocky Mountain Arms .22 short. It was in the black velvet jewel box and was NOS. No papers under the insert. The inside of the jewel case has the buffalo logo instead of the NAA eagle. Black shiny grips, Rocky Mountain Arms stamped on the gun.

They wanted $290.

I passed.

Your thoughts? I could go back tomorrow.

Nice piece. Looks to be in great condition. That's possibly the going price, tho it seems a little steep. Depends on how much you really want it!

Are these hard to find? First one I've seen - but I haven't been looking that long at all. I already have a short in the little jewel box, so I don't really NEED another - unless the RMA guns are really hard to find.

I think you need a Glock to go with this one.  :D

Got a 17 and a 26 already...

Haha Glock.

It's somewhat rare, but not unheard of. You don't see them everyday, for sure. They are more of a collector's piece now than an everyday shooter. It has the cool and somewhat strange hammer-actuated cylinder stop on the top. Cool design, but I've always wondered about it's longevity, as it relies upon that flexing external spring-like device. The hammer forces it to the left each time it's cocked. I'm imagining that's some of Dick Casull's work, but I'm not positive of that.

I sold one awhile back without the case for around that--maybe more, maybe less--I don't recall. If you buy it, I wouldn't plan to shoot it.

PaducahMichael

Yes - that's what I was thinking - and I don't want to spend my $$ on something I would not shoot.

Thanks for the input. Think I'll stay home tomorrow after all.
