Anybody using the rosewood oversize grips for the mini .22 LR?  If so, do they extend the length of the standard grips enough to get two fingers on the grip?  I can only get one finger on the standard grips.  Any suggestions for other extended-length grips?  Thanks!

I have the Black Widow factory grips. I'm pretty sure they are the same, just rubber. I am able to get 2 fingers on, and it even has a small indent for your pinky to rest. I originally planned to change them, but after handling it, I think I'll keep them on. Or get the rosewood.

Oh, I'm sorry. I just noticed you said LR. My opinion is based on the magnum.

I wish the rubber grips would fit the 22lr frames- like tequila, two fingers is better!

Do a web search for Revision CV. Known on here as CVang grips. I have a set on my Wasp, and we are placing an order for the shop to sell them. They are no wider than the cylinder and only slightly longer than the standard grip, but make a huge difference in feel and control.

Never mind the search:

NAA makes just about everything you need for grips , check the website they have boot grips , oversized wood and rubber grips . Don't need to spend your monies elsewhere unless you don't want to , they would appreciate the business and look best .  :)

Thank you all for replies, suggestions, links, etc.

I checked the NA Arms web site for oversize grips for the .22 LR mini, but they didn't seem to extend the length of the handle any. At least I couldn't tell from the picture, and the email I sent to their "contact" address bounced back.  I'd be happy to buy from them, just don't have enough info to do it.

I just checked the Revision CV web site and got this message:
DUE TO EQUIPMENT ISSUES, ALL NAA GRIP PRODUCTION HAS BEEN PUT ON HOLD.

So no joy for now......

Hope this helps .

Thank you for the picture!  If the grips on the left side of the picture are the oversize rosewood grips from NAA, they ought to be plenty big.  Is there still room to slide a finger between the grip and the back of the trigger?

OV-1D

Never shot with any.... just stock grips , should be plenty of room if not lots to carve on to suit .  :)

I disagree that NAA makes all the grips that are needed.  The grips that come with the .22lr are so tiny, only one finger can be used.  I found this to be way too small and inaccurated.  Rather useless. I put a folding holster grip on my 22lr.

The rosewood oversize grip is huge!  I'm not paying $35 for something I need to shave down.  I was never a fan of the boot grip style and it was quickly removed on my 686.  Replaced with a rubber Hogue grip.

The Cvang grip is just right.  Two fingers of grip and minimal in crease in size.  NAA needs a grip like this one or a PUG size grip for the .22lr. 2 fingers please.   Until then, I'll stick with my holster grip, which looks huge, but really doesn't make the overall size much bigger when folded.

Thanks kevin for that enlightenment .  :)  Kinda defeats the idea of mini , hey .

Blech! If you mean 2 fingers down my throat to get rid of the taste, you're right!

For everyone else, are the oversize rosewood(magnum) the same size as the stock BW/MM grips?

The folding holster grip isn't that much larger when folded.
I'd still like to see NAA make a grip like the CVang.

I did order a set of rosewood oversize grips from NAA for my mini 22LR and they came in yesterday.  They look good!

On a related subject, does anyone made "block" grips that fit on the frame, but rely on the user to carve or dremel-tool "scallops" for his/her specific finger placement?  I'd like to carve a notch in my stock grips, right next to the screw head.  I wonder if there's a market for say three pairs of such grips, in unfinished wood or plastic, for $20.

The oversize rosewood grips do three nice things for the 22LR.  First, they allow two fingers to get a grip, instead of just one.  Second, the grip is beefier than the stock birds eye grips, and just feel better in the hand.  Third, the grip raises the mini about 3/4 inch higher in the hand, making cocking and aiming much easier.  With the standard birds eye grip, the skin of my hand between thumb and first finger would sometimes trap the hammer after it was pulled back.  With the oversize grips the hammer does not get anywhere near flesh.  The only minor negative I see so far is that there is a small amount of up-down play between the mini body and the oversize grips.  This has been mentioned elsewhere on this forum, and I'll try some of those fixes.   I haven't fired the mini with the oversize grips yet, but will post again after I do.

The oversize grips do make the mini a bit bulkier in the pocket, but not enough to be noticeable.  I suppose I could sand some of the width off, but the dang things are so pretty I hate to mess with them!

Many thanks to NA Arms for making the oversize grips available!  And free shipping in December helps, too.
