GRIP HOLSTER QUESTION???

A friend of mine has a Mini which he said he bought about 20 years ago. I had problems with installing the holster grip. The threaded insert had to be postitioned and then installed because the hammer spring was in the way of the insert installing after the grip was locked into place. Is the hammer spring different on the earlier Mini's? The hammer is hard to pull back and I think it is because the threaded insert is hitting the hammer spring inside the grip. If the holster grip is not meant for the earlier models ( Ser#W37XXX), Which holster grip should I use?

The age of the piece might affect whether the holster grips sold today will fit.  I have a .22 Mag which came with the holster/grip pre-installed by NAA, so I cannot advise you on position of the hammer spring.

Be aware that there are TWO holster grips available.  One fits .22 LR revolvers, while the other is for .22 Magnum revolvers.  That is all the information I can supply without stepping into the "land of guesses", which might be incorrect.

Your best bet might be to contact the company and get their official assessment.  They would know one way or the other.  Best of luck

Youre right Javier but they weren't marked or designated differently.

74man,
What you need to do is call into the factory to order a modified mainspring. This will allow you to properly install your new Holster Grip.
