I was in a local gun store the other day and overheard this conversation. Two guys were standing next to me one older fella was looking at a naa in the display case. The second guy asked the older man if he would really carry that little thing .The older guy stated yes he would carry it and also stated that he had one in his pocket right then and there. The second guy stated that all that little thing would do is really make a guy mad.The older guy looked at the second guy for a minute and very politely said that in all his 67 years four of which had been spent in war and twenty in law enforcement  he had never seen a mad dead man.Not ever! The second guy never said a word.He turned around and left the store. I loved it!

Haha, that's great! :)

I think the this-gun-or-that-ammo-would-only-make-the-bad-guy-mad story is only told by stupid people. I think these people should have to prove their position by being shot and see if they just get mad.

The state of mind of the person that was shot dictates how the person will react unless of course a kill shot has been given . Crazy (mentally disoriented ) or drugged or drunk people will most of the time continue advancing being pain has little effect so the size of the hole will make little difference in those individuals unless like I said it was a immediate lethal hit . Great story you gave there Dk hope the kid learned something .

My thoughts exactly!

The thought that someone with a 9mm subcompact is simply going to bounce bullets off of someone's chest like they're Superman is... not smart.

Likewise, a full-size .45 or even 10mm won't do the job unless the shooter does their part.

I know a guy like that still makes fun of me for my 22 short that its useless, but yet he still will not take me up on my offer to let him be on the recieving end of one ;)...

There was a Russian executioner that tapped around 5,000 people with a .25 acp. Harmless, huh?

jw1128

Especially when the people saying the crap dont even carry on a regular basis if at all.  I have a mini on me at minimum from the time I roll out of bed til I fall into bed 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

I've always been told the best defense is a well prepared offense. If you have a firearm you can carry all the time your increasing your odds of serviving a life and death situation.I use to carry a 25 baby browning .The guys used to teas me about my puny little gun with that sick little round all the while they were standing there telling me how bad my weapon was and how great there cannons they had were. I was the only guy in the room armed.Don't get me wrong if I'm going to be in a gunfight give me a good Kimber 45 Glock 40.The problem is you never get to choose when your going to be in a life or death situation. In my law enforcement career I was in two shooting situations in both situations I was also being shot at.Both of those situations made me understand that any gun in any caliber is far better than no gun at all when the deal goes down.I have a 25 acp a22 mag and a 32acp .On any given day I'll have one of them on me because they are easy to carry.I can't say that about my bigger caliber weapons. Most people tend to underestimate the lethality of a 25 ,22 ,32 .They will kill I've seen it to many times.

the people who say that a 22 or 25 will only make someone mad embarass themselves only they are too stupid to realize it.

rimfire and .25 consistently show in the top 3 in stats for calibers actually used "for real."

That's kind of strange when you realize that .25 makes up a small percentage of guns actually sold.

If you excluded hipoint 22 and 25 are the cheapest firearms to purchase.

The best fight ever won....is the one never fought.
But if I really needed some sort of no nonsense
"PPE" I would have to go with a run of the mill
Ice Pick.....or a solid hardwood walking stick.

Any "situation" involving a firearm of any sort
will undoubtedly be the subject of a long and
grueling court battle.  :(

.380, 9mm, .40, .45.

If they made a .22lr, I'd take a look.

Unlike .22LR, a .25ACP can be easily reloaded for more practice time.  Just a thought.

Uncle_Lee

Even back in my reloading days my fingers were too big to handle the .25 acp empty.
Nothing smaller than a 380.

I bought a Berretta 25, and traded it in for a 22, so I could afford to get good

I have another 3 coming to the ever growing collection. Just something about these little 6.35 mm pistols that I cannot resist.
