I got an e-mail last week from a gun shop that I stopped at 3 or 4 times a week before I retired. Now I drop by 3 or 4 times a year. Good Folks.
They told me in the e-mail that they had my Sidewinder conversion in and ready to pick up.
I ordered it last June and totally forgot about it.
Anyway, I got it out this morning to fondle it and get it ready to shoot and carry.
New?
New NAA minis are usually very dirty  so nothing new there. This one look like it has had a couple of thousand rounds through it.
A turn mark around the mag cylinder? Nope a groove around it.

Here are some pictures.

Now it is ready to carry.

Looks like the LGS boys may have "Had their way" with the young girl before you got to fondle her ?

Looks like she cleaned up pretty good.  Looks nice with those cvangs !

Sometimes forgetting is bliss!

Looks good with those grips. I regularly carry my Sidewinder: it has pretty much replaced my Pug in my front trouser pocket. I do have to periodically retighten the cylinder screw.

That's what I need a used one because I can't come to carry and shoot the early bird I have . Hate to see such an abused one but still fine overall . Good score Unc . :) :)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

cant wait to have to make that choice, but the PUG is so nice.

Stick around long enough and you will also have to choose . ;) ;) ;) That's a good thing .

I don,t believe anyone could consider that new, thats a hell of a lot more than testing rounds,
But since it cleaned up so pretty, I,d. be happy after all a used NAA don,t sell muck less than new,
They are that good.
P.S starting to like those c. Vang grips hated them at first sight, but the more I see the more I like them.

Unc_Lee you didn't pay new price for that right ? Lets hope not or I'd find another dealer that's user friendly and the guy didn't even clean it up for new .  :o :o :o

You may as well carry it and shoot it yourself. After it passes from your care someone else will probably shoot it and drop it in a pocket without worrying about a scrape or two. After all, it will be a used gun. My early bird is what I carry. Now, if I had one of the top numbers, say under #20, I might feel differently.

When a longer barrel Sidewinder becomes available I will probably retire my early bird to the safe. Until then - well, I have put around eight hundred to a thousand rounds through mine this past year and enjoyed the heck out of it. If I have to wait another year for a longer barrel then my early bird will probably see another thousand rounds.

Does not look new to me but after you shoot it for a while the turn marks would show up anyway!!! Maybe they at least got the trigger smoothed out for you!!! But I fell you should have got for a used price!!!

redhawk4

I could have picked up a new one in my local Cabelas the other day, there was one sitting in the case, so are they still hard to come buy? Someone had definitely fired a few through that on Uncle Lee and you think they'd have had he decency to clean it for you. Having said that if you are going to shoot it and carry it, it doesn't really matter, at least it's had a bit of a break in to see if anything might go out on it prematurely.

I would think if a dealer was going to sell a used gun for new, that he would have cleaned it up, where as if it came dirty, he wouldn't give it a thought. Who knows? Look how many people voted for obama. That should tell you something about dumb moves in life..

uncle_lee the grips really make it for me. AWESOME!!!!
But I would be just a little pissed off if I had picked it up in that condition. I'm really wanting a SW but right now they are just to far out of reach for me.
Enjoy your!!!!  ;D ;D ;D

It is new. I have been doing business with this dealer for over 30 years. He is honest. The way he got it from the distributor is the way I got it.
I have around 25 minis that I have bought "new" and most look/looked really dirty (like 500 rounds dirty) when I got them. This is the first that is all scratched up.
BUT, this is a carry gun so It don't matter what it looks like.
Now I will be carrying this Sidewinder and the Pug. That is the minis that I will be carrying. The rest remain the same.

I think of all the custom grips I've seen the cvangs make the mini look the best. Lucky you uncle_lee I don't own either of those beauties (guns) but sure would like too....

bbgun

Uncle Lee,    Those are two beauties!  Do you have any of the old type 22LR folding grips for sale?

jw1128

Is 440 too much for the conversion nib?

OV-1D

Try and get the seller to throw in the transfer fee . Then its a better buy . :)  Not much on the Pug , my thoughts anyhow .  :)

I doubt you will find one much cheaper. Maybe twenty or thirty dollars cheaper at most, so I do not think it too much, if it is what you want and you can afford it.

Uncle_Lee

I got mine for #419.00.
He threw in a box of Remington 22 LR (Golden Bullet) and a box of 22 Mag (Speer Gold Dot).
He has no ammo on the shelves but gives everyone that buys a gun one box of ammo.
Since mine was a conversion, he gave me two. :)

No, I have no folding grips at all.
