I took my NAA Sidewinder to the range yesterday with a friend to try out the Sidewinder.  We set up a target at 20 yards and we were surprised  when my first shoot hit dead center. My friend said it was luck, so I shot 4 more times then we walked up to the target where I pulled a 50 cent coin out of my pocket and covered all 5 holes.  I was shooting Winchester PDX1 DEFENDER 40 grain 22 Mag ammo. My wife and I are going back today and try it at 30, 40 and maybe at 50 just to check it out, I know it was not made for that range but I just have to see what it can do.

PS: Actually it was a Challenge Coin that a always carry in my pocket, I wrote 50 cent coin because it's approx. the same size and some folks may not know what a Challenge Coin  is or they may not understand why I carry one, anyway, THANKS FOR THE WARM WELCOME!

TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

TwoGunJayne

I wouldn't shoot a .50 cent piece these days, most of mine are silver.  ;)

we will just have to call you Dead Eye Perry!

A 50 cent piece ?  :o :o

Yes OV-1D and you might also be interested in these things called pennies or One Cent pieces.  They get their name because they a worth 1% of the value of a dollar.  They used to be made of all copper, but then in 1982 were switched to copper clad zinc, because the cost of the copper in the penny was worth more than 1% of a dollar and people would melt them down for the copper.

A penny saved, is not worth very much due to inflation.  Thanks Obama!  Don't get me started on the Trillion dollar coin.

Welcome capt perry.
Good shooting, really.
You are the only person that I have heard of lately that carries a half dollar.
You could cover more of a "string" with two quarters.

You are correct, I have no idea what that coin is.

I hope it's not the same as the Trillion Dollar coin.

Captain, that's really encouraging accuracy. Thanks for reporting. Wish the local stores had .22 Magnum in stock.

silverback

I really like the sidewinder  but the price tag.  I could almost buy two different models for the same price.   I guess its a matter of perspective.  heck I can live with slow reloading at the range and save the cash for more ammo.

Knock, knock. I think a few drinks are owed in this thread!

cfsharry

Not really, no challenge was made.

G50AE

But it's still OK to have a few drinks.  ;)

Waiting patiently for follow up range report.  Am interested in how well the gun shoots at the longer yard ages mentioned.

red14

I'd like to know what a ''challenge coin'' is, thank you.

Guess they started just handing them out in Basic and OTS before anyone's done anything. Call it a "baseline," I suppose.

Dinadan

Great accuracy, capt perry! We need some photos next time you are out. How about a photo of your challenge coin? I am guessing it is for service in a military unit? Funny how the coin became the focus of the thread instead of the gun.

Heyjoe, that is ambiguous. Old size dollar or new size dollar?
