Does NAA offer a cylinder for the magnum that shoots long rifle that is sold seperatly?

ikoiko

Yes they do, but you need to send your gun to them so they can make sure the timing is correct with the new cylinder.

What ikoiko said. They do charge $50 for this, plus $9.95 return postage. You can ship the gun to them, BUT, you cannot use the USPS to mail a handgun (Federal law). An FFL can use USPS, and it will fit nicely in a small box, for less than $6.00. Your local gun shop can mail it for you, but expect to pay him for his time. For a customer who bought the gun from me, I would likely only charge $10 or so. For someone I don't know, this would be a $25-$30 charge. I do the packing of the weapon, making sure it is secure. If you opt to ship it yourself, it has to go UPS or FEDEX and you have to inform them it is a firearm, again Federal law. They will only ship it overnight/air/super quick, which is the single most expensive way they ship anything. This is NOT Federal law. It is their own way of A) increasing profit and B) cutting down on employee theft.

You can put more than one handgun in each package.

Greyelky, does the gun need to be shipped back to an FFL from NAA?

If so, is another transfer fee required? Just wondering...

You still own the gun, so no transfer should be required, but your dealer may charge a fee for their service, in addition to the shipping. How much, if any, probably depends on your dealer and your relationship with them.

What Mr_22 said, plus:
If you ship the gun to them, they can ship it back to you. Home, work, etc, no problem. What ever address you use as a return address. If your dealer ships it, they will ship it back to him. He should log it as a gunsmith issue, and it will not require a 4473 be completed for you to get it back, IF the person dropping it off (you) picks it up. If someone different picks it up for you (wife, brother, etc) then that person would have to do a 4473. If NAA finds a problem and deems the frame needs replacing, then it has to go to an FFL holder, and you will have to do a 4473 due to it being a new gun.

Questions are 3 for a quarter, so you got one more coming.....:)

"What ever I can find to buy.
The shortage is still going on around here."

Didn't take long for someone to beat me to that answer.
