"Wearing out" a mini?

Has anyone shot a Mini, whether a S, LR or Magnum model, to the point where it loosened up, went out of time, got "sloppy" in the cylinder pin area, etc?

I just ask because I have several hundreds of rounds through my .22 LR mini and it seems to have more endshake , and the cylinder pin seems looser, than it did about 3 years ago when I got it.

I have heard of people who claim to have 10's of thousands of rounds through a mini but just wanted to know if it was physically possible to shoot one loose.

Possible? Of course. It is a mechanical device with a finite life span. Just a wild a** guess, but I suspect it would be in the 1000's before it would require a trip back to the factory, but, as far fetched as I may like it to be, I could be wrong. :o

I like the answers presented that it's over a thousand rounds before
something or anything happens. Any firearm can have a problem pop up.

It's a good question. I don't know if any tests have ever been done.

It would be a good idea to have the cylinder pin checked.
I traded a recent one I bought because of this. The gunsmith could pull it straight
out without depressing it.

Looking forward to what other say.

Right and that is why I never carry just one.

Iron horse-
If you happen to encounter that pin problem in the future, call NAA. They will likely just send you a new one.
