Lite Strikes on NAA Mini Revolver?

I have two NAA Mini Revolvers, one 22LR with the 1 1/8" barrel, and a 22LR / 22Mag with the 1 5/8" barrel. Both are great guns and I get a real kick out of shooting them.

About a year ago I was out on the desert (I live in Arizona) shooting the 22LR and I dropped it in the sand. Of course some sand got in the works and the gun jammed up. So I took the gun apart to clean it out, and never managed to get it back together again.

A few weeks ago I sent the disassembled 22LR in to have NAA put it back together. I also sent in the 22LR / 22Mag to have a bent sight straightened.

Both guns were back to me at two weeks on the day and both looked great.

Last weekend I went out to the desert to try them out. The 22LR / 22Mag worked just fine, no problems at all. The 22LR was having lite strikes on every full cylinder. One or two of the bullets per cylinder would not fire on the first strike, but almost always fired on the second hammer strike.

Carefully removing two of the bullets (after letting the gun set for a while to be sure that the bullet wouldn't end up with delayed firing) I could see that the bullet looked normal except that the indentation on the bullet rim was very lite. I put the bullets back into the gun and they fired.

My question is this; has anyone else experienced lite strikes with an Naa Mini Revolver, and if so, was it something that you could correct, or do I have to send the revolver back to NAA?

I did notice that the cylinder was dirty and I had problems pushing the bullets fully into the cylinder. If a bullet was not seated correctly, the first hammer strike may have had enough force to seat the bullet but not fire it, and the second hammer strike fired the primer. I also noticed that the lite strikes were less likely to happen when I pulled the trigger crisply instead of letting it creep back slowly.

I have cleaned and oiled the gun and brushed out the cylinders until the bullets go into the cylinder easily. I won't know if this has fixed the problem until I am able to get back out to my shooting site.

What are your thoughts or experiences with lite strikes on NAA Mini Revolvers?

   Thanks
