I know these guns are very popular but why is it so hard to get hold of one of these guns?  A PUG Magnum with Tritium Sights and the 22 LR Conversion cylinder seems almost impossible to find. I have checked with every LGS around with no luck. Also none seem to want to order one for me either. I was under the impression that they could be ordered from what I saw on the NAA site. Other then Gunbroker the gun stores are no help. I know I could find one with the night sights and send it to NAA for the conversion. But that seems it would really run up the cost of the gun with shipping to where I would have say it's not worth it. I sent an email to NAA customer service to see if they could help in getting one ordered and sent to a FFL. Hopefully they can help.

Pugs, Sidewinders, Sheriffs, and Black Widows perform vanishing acts as far as gun store shelves.

It's the standard minis that have the ability to sit there on the shelf for any length of time. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

Galleryofguns.com should be a good help for you on ordering anything you desire . Good luck there Jim1392 .   :)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

...you could also keep an eye on our Buy/Sell/Trade section, even as far as "throwing out your shingle" and making a "wanted to buy" post.

It is something to do while you research other options. It could help.

Due to spammers and griefers, they are historically slow to respond to the emails. Call them at customer service, it'll be gold.

NAA CS rightfully hates email.

Thanks, I was trying to get hold of one with the conversion 22 LR cylinder. My LSG has the Mag with the night sight for $298.99. I played around and missed one for $352.00 with the night sight and 22LR cylinder. To buy the one from Bud's or my LGS and send it in for the 22LR cylinder to be timed sends the price of the gun close to $400.00. I do have another lead to check out from another member here so I'll just keep looking. It just amazes me that none of the stores around me are interested in ordering one for me. To me a sale is a sale. I guess business is so good that they don't want to put themselves out.

I have had very good luck contacting NAA and usually have what I want within 48 hours.  Do you really think you will ever use the 22LR cylinder.  Since most of the NAAs are in the $250 range, by a second one in a different style in 22LR.  Kind of like having a blond and a brunette instead of only one babe with a wig!  ;D

I just figured it would a lot cheaper to practice with the 22 LR. and carry it with magnum rounds. I can pick up a Sidewinder Magnum for around $400.00 with the 22 lr cylinder, close to what it would wind up costing me to send the Pug to NAA for the 22 cylinder. But when I picked up both and handled them at a gun show I went to recently the Pug just fit my hand better. And I'm sure I won't be able to stop at just one. ;D

With a slow loading single action revolver, shooting 50 rounds seems to take forever.

I would shoot what you plan on shooting so you are used to that round in that gun.

Just my 2 cents.

Another follow up. I was glad to see they would take the time for the below response. Wow, the 6 month backlog is something else.  I guess if I really want the Pug with the conversion I'll have to send it in as Jessica suggests. Since it looks like a long wait to get one if at all.

Jim-

The Pug-TC (or Pug-DC) are actually a distributor exclusive and it only available through Jerry's Sports Center and Ellett Brothers, your dealer will need to order it through one of them.  They are not produced and shipped as often as the standard Pugs. If you can find or have a dealer order the standard Pug with just the magnum cylinder, you might have better luck and then you can send the gun in to NAA to have the conversion cylinder installed.

In addition to all of that, we currently have about a 6 month back log on all our firearms.

Thank You and Have a Great Day!
