Ordered my first LR Companion the other day, sort of. I had two about two years ago but I traded them off for a pair of Cimarron/Uberti 1862 Police revolvers without ever firing them.

So any tips, tricks, things I should know. I'm not a stranger to cap and ball revolver I own at least a dozen now from the small Colt pocket styles up to a 36 caliber Walker in size

OLD and GRUMPY

Stick with the Rem#11 caps. Rem #10 will work. CCI #11 are too long you risk jam, jam-fire. Being cleaning stuff with you. The cylinder pin will become hard to pull after only 1 or2 cylinders are fired. I needed pliers to help pull it . Watch your fingers when pulling a cylinder  or clearing a jam with a loaded chamber it is small and hard to grasp with out getting a finger in front of the muzzle. Take time seating bullets the loader can press them in cock eyed. There is NO safety . The pin does not index into the cylinder notch. The notch is so you can pry out old caps. Carry over a empty cylinder.I called NAA about this when I got mine.CTD called it a safety notch  in there add. Don't over load . All the force is on the thin cylinder pin. It can bend. This is a fun gun.Do NOT bet your life on it IF you have other options. I will post more latter. Please Give us your feed back, I am about 100 rounds into mine . Caps-- with this gun size does matter. Have fun!!

A Win Mag cartridge will out punch the BP Mag loading.

Two Gun posted a cap size chart  on another topic . Don't  know how to drag it over to this one. I'm computer slow!
Look at Rem # 11 caps started by efaefa on Aug 17 under NAA products.
