Those are sure interesting pieces 45Flint , my guess is the three barrel black powder boarding pistol . Second choice is the pen gun . Am I close ? I like that 22 knife pistol shooting it at 100 yards haha .  Whoa............ its that Mossberg chainsaw isn't it ?

Less than one a year.  Got one to the point of needing a screw and never bought it?!

I've owned one of those guns on that list, but I sold it 6 or 8 years ago. There are sure some weirdos there. I had a kit for the same 3-barrel black powder pistol, except mine was just the single barrel. Everything else is the same. (I still own that, but never fired it. I built it for fun.)

The BJT is a class pistol,  Two 9mm is a good carry gun, much better feel than the double-tap.  Adds to my top break obsession!

Always wondered 45Flint how those casings are held in there .  ???

I had the same basic frame but mine was a pepperbox. They are still listed in the Dixie Gun Works catalog of 2013 @ $142.50 which is MUCH more than I paid. I wasn't satisfied with what I had done so I took it apart & tried to improve it. Each time it wound up worse. Finally it not only looked much worse but it also would not work anymore. I turned it in at a gun buyback for two hockey tickets.

Yup, it's by no means a high-quality firearm. I bought my kit in 1989 for $30, I think, if that. It was fun to put together, to form the grip, and sand it down, but I wasn't sure I ever wanted to shoot it. The only black power firearms that I've ever fired are my NAA Companions. Anyway, I still have mine in a cigar box somewhere, LOL. I got $30 worth of value from it.

9 MM ?  ??? In derringer .

American Derringer bought the patents and now makes the gun only in 357 and 40 cal.   I fired the 9mm and it was snappy but you got the feeling it would be pretty effective.  What I like is the same with NAA all metal contruction.

Interesting discussion: what is more effective carry: 9mm with DA, two quick shots or single action 5 rounds of 22 mag.  I can see it both ways.

MR_22

I have a 9mm Cobra derringer, but it's only SA. It's a pretty good little shooter, actually. I'm surprised how accurate it is.

I think I might take 2 9mm shots over 5 .22-Magnum shots. I keep coming back to the fact that in most shooting incidents, just one round is fired. I want that one round to be as effective as possible. If you drop the caliber of those two shots, though, I'll probably go for the .22-Magnum instead, but I'm not sure at which point. .380? .32? I would definitely take the .22-Magnum over .25ACP.

I was surprised to see the Ranch Hand on the list. I have the Henry Mares Leg .22, which is essentially the same gun, and I love to take it plinking. If the gun was good enough for Steve McQueen, who am I to argue that logic! Weird no, uncommon maybe, but still one of my favorites.

On list cause it's weird it's considered a pistol!  Not long barrel rifle, got to love that.
