Have matching #2x, 3 & 4 inch.  Only fired one round from each cyl hole (total 10), plus factory.  $600 + shipping.  Part trade with other Minis. Looks like more medical expense funds needed.  Thanks, Phil      ps.ATF laws apply.

Phil,

I may be interested in the 3". I have a magnum 1/58" that is in excellent condition that I would want to trade. It was returned to the factory and fitted with a new cylinder and hammer. I bought it in June from a dealer and have not fired it. I have a breaktop on order and probably will either sell or trade the Mag.

By ATF laws do you mean it would have to go thru a dealer? If so ,I am not sure a trade would work cost wise for me. I have a CWP and of course would want the ID process in order as well.

   Thanks

E, thanks. Just dont want to break law.  Since both are same serial number I cant break up, would ruin any extra value.  Would trade on both plus $$$$

ephraim

Phil,

Thanks for the reply. I fully understand. Hope you sell them soon. Seems like a good value.

I don't intend on parting with the breaktop. I may or may not sell the mag I now have. Only have $160.00 in it so I guess it won't hurt to hang on to it. Anyone would be lucky to get your set!

E, just wondering, Im in Ala, any chance?

ephraim

Backporch 22. Maybe, I am in Virginia. Frankly, I just don't know how it is handled between states and still be legal. I am sure we both want it to be right! If I get $160 I am happy and I feel it is a good deal. It is a nice gun. I am just trying to offset my breaktop cost.

   Thanks

Backporch 22, If we can figure out how to do this, and you  like the deal I am agreeable.

   Thanks

Ephraim and Backporch22_

You will need to ship your gun one of 2 ways: Through a commercial carrier (FEDEX/UPS) or let a local gun shop ship it. Either way it has to go to an FFL holder for local transfer. Be sure and check with the receiving FFL holder to verify he will accept from an individual.

I suggest you check the rates. It will likely be cheaper to let a local gun shop do the shipping, even with his charges. The only way FEDEX/UPS ship guns is overnight air, about $45.00, give or take. You are required to notify them there is a firearm in the package, but you are not allowed to put any kind of marking on the outside of the package indicating it contains a firearm.

OF COURSE, since this is on the the INTERNET, do not believe anything you read. Check for your self and verify the accuracy of the information provided.

A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by a common or contract carrier to a resident of his or her own State or to a licensee in any State. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun. In addition, Federal law requires that the carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm and prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firearm.

Grayelky,

Thank you very much for the advice. I really appreciate your help. This is very helpful information which I will keep on file. Whatever is done needs to be legal.

   Backporch22,

In light of Grayelky's information it appears this deal may not be feasible, given the value of my gun and the price of a new one. It would either decrease my net too much, or increase your cost above the value of my gun. I would like your thoughts. I appreciate your interest in any case

600-200 trade= 400 boot.  My ffl will ship at his cost (around 15.00) and take in trade and transfer to me for 25.00.   thanks GRAYELKY

ephraim

Backporch,

I checked with several local ffls. They are not too keen on doing the transfer at all. If they do it they will charge $50.00 per gun I receive. It will also cost me around $45.00 to ship my gun to you. This amounts to around $145.00. To complicate matters more, Virginia has a one gun per month rule. I already have a gun on order to receive in Oct. The dealers don't want to hold the guns for several months to conform to this rule . Bottom line. It is just too costly and complicated for me to deal with. Your deal was fair, but I am sorry I am unable make it work.

I have no doubt you will be able to sell the Earls. Thank you for your consideration.

   Thanks

Thanks Ephraim, but I have taken care of finances, so Earls will stay with me.  Been thinking about getting them out and shooting.  Kept in safe thinking in 10 years would be rare to have a set with same numbers still as new.

ephraim

Backporch,

That's great.I think you are right. They will increase in value and you get to enjoy them as well. You can't beat that deal.

   Thanks

   E!

ephraim

Heyjoe,

I hope it doesn't get out that Virginia has anything in common with New Jersey! I guess I will have to concede that "one gun a month law". It is a sorry law. Also, down here below the Mason-Dixon line we don't need too much excuse to complain about New York! I will have to say that Samuel Adams makes a great beer, even if it is from Yankeeland! Then there are the great guns from NAA, and New York does have those pubs, Broadway, etc.. Hmm, I might have to rethink this thing. I hate it when that happens!

Virginia has those 1000 dollar speeding fines for residents. I think you cant carry in a bar either while we can here. There really arent that many prohibited places here as compared to other states. WE have more than our share of some really sorry laws here. Virginia is a beautiful state.

Heyjoe,

Thanks. You have a beautiful state also. The more you travel around you see there great places everywhere, north and south.
