This is my first attempt at something like this. I felt the sights were pretty useless so I removed them and the ridge that runs across the top. I also rounded off the barrel top, slide front and back, and gently smoothed the square edges of the barrel and the tops of the slide serrations. Now it really slips out of the Nemesis holster easily.

I'd like to find a set of smooth grips for it, something economical, not some exotic material.

You do not have a lot of options for aftermarket grips.  Your best bet is the Hogues in the Guardian Accessories section of the NAA home page.  They start at $43 for smooth Goncalo Alves grips.

Nice touch. For the distances intended, sights are not necessary. As to smooth grips, treat the ones on the gun just like you did the gun: smooth out the parts you don't like, till you do like them.

Nice job!  I agree on the grips-  the Hogue's look beautiful, (I have them on mine), but they add a lot of thickness to the pistol
and make it almost unusable for concealed carry.  Mine lives in the center console, so it's not a problem.

Great job. It looks super sharp. Would go a long way towards making mine more of what I want of it as a carry pistol.
