Hey guys. I just had to share this story from the Absoraka Kid from this morning--with his permission, of course.

What do you do when you need breakfast and all you have is an NAA Mini? Nothing to fear--you go hunting for rabbits, just like the Absaroka Kid did this morning!

Here's his hunting story! And, yes, this was actually from this morning!

The Absaroka Kid's first shot comes from an NAA Black Widow with a laser using a single .22LR round. Right through the lung and heart. Ah, breakfast! But just one rabbit? 'Tis not enough!

The second shot cracks from an NAA Minimaster with a .22 Magnum round. Missed shot at 75 feet. Cottontail number 2 gets spooked and hides in the trees--but The Kid sneaks up on him, tree to tree, to get close enough for the next shot. Just when he feels his position is about right, he leans against a tree, takes careful aim, and squeezes off another shot.

BANG!

Rabbit number 2 drops. Time for a third. He again grabs the Black Widow with the Venom Laser, again loaded with .22LR rounds. The cloudy sky drops the ambient light, but it's still hard to see the laser point. He finally spots his laser and marks the head of a third cottontail and carefully squeezes off a round.

BLAM!

Third cottontail drops with only four rounds from two NAA minis. Now that's a hunting story!

Now a quote directly from The Absaroka Kid:

"These little guns have potential... for their intended purpose. Practice... practice... practice... is essential--but they do perform as seen in the photos."

Indeed they do.

Another quote from The Kid:

"...with the Naa Mini Master and the BlackWidow with Venom Laser it provided plenty of sport in harvesting them... concentration on trigger squeeze and sight placement and a steady hand along with two well built Naa's provided a lot of fun this morning as well."

Very cool story, eh?

And check out the accompanying photos to show his small game taken down by these excellent hunting weapons, a cool head, and a steady hand. :)

TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Nice shooting. I think I'd like to put a Venom Laser on my Mini Master. That would be a pretty nice setup.

Nice story! Any bets on how many of the next holsters the Kid makes are made from rabbit skin and have rabbit's foot hangin from 'em? I'm guess'n 12.

bunnies, biscuits, and gravy?

That sounds like a very "tactical" breakfast TwoGunJayne.

Great story.  Sounds like the Kid likes to camp a lot, and doesn't have to pack in loads of store bought vittles.
Am almost jealous.  He sure is a good shot too, with a 25 yard hit on such a small target to his credit.

Being an older gent, who creaks and squeeks when I move, I wonder whether that would work well on French Toast?   ;)   :)  (just kidding)

Thanks for the great narrative, Mr. 22.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wow, I'd forgotten about that story. I read through it again just now and I enjoyed it, too. I like to have fun with words and that was a fun one to write.

I'm not as good of a shot as The Kid is, or as patient with stalking my prey, it would seem. :) And by the way, I'm working on a new review for holsters for these guns that The Kid was using to hunt, so look for that soon! I'm really excited about these new designs. They're pretty nice!
