The 2 NAA revolvers that I will be customizing. I would like to make belt buckles to accommodate a NAA 22lr and a 22 magnum. I made one a few years ago using a factory method of securing the gun. It took me all of 2 days wearing the buckle before , I looked down, and the gun was nowhere to be found. As the gun was fully engraved and 14kt. gold and diamond grips, it was a very expensive loss.

I will be making another buckle and want to have the most reliable gun retention system for securing the belts. The stock buckle (the large one, has a VERY lousy retention system. The fold over catch is a POS and will not be secure. Do any of you folk have a system that is very secure and will prevent loss? The guns I customize that I have sold (a very stupid move) have ranged in price form $700.00 to $3,600.00 depending on the amount of engraving and the material used, so retention security is MOST important to me.

Can anyone describe, or better yet, post pictures of the locking mechanism? Any help will be greatly appreciated. As always, TIA for any help.---Teddy

lBTW. nyone has found a NAA 22lr, fully engraved, with 14kt grips, set with diamonds, let me know. I lost it wearing the large, NAA belt buckle. Bummer!!!!

I'm afraid if I had a gun like that on my belt buckle I would be walking around like Micheal Jackson with a hand on my crotch most of the time.

There was a guy that posted some buckles he had made on here a few months ago that had a real solid retaining system. Try looking it up. His even had a speed loader built into it.

Even though I have never handled one, the NAA ones seem to be made out of a poor cast metal like a lot of the "less expensive" belt buckles you can buy.
