i had to put a new hammer in since the original owner liked to dry fire it. that little hair pin spring keeps going infront of the big screw hole when i try and put the plate on and put the screw through the hole.

when i pull the hammer back the cylinder is staying locked and it wont rotate

250mav

No it is not right.
There is a little slot that the straight part of the spring must stay in so the side plate don't bind it.
When it is in the slot, the straight part of the spring is flush with the hammer.

edit
I looked again.
I can't tell if it is all in the slot because it is behind what ever it is that you are holding the parts in place with.

haha thanks guys. it was just a nail i had through hole. i think the main spring may have lost some tension because i went to fire off a test round and it put a dent in it but it didnt go off. if i have to send this gun in does it have to be shipped through a FFL or can i handle postage myself?

Call NAA first and get the shipping details. Then you must ship it UPS or FedEx (as I recall) overnight. USPS cannot be used for firearms. At least that's what I recall from when I sent them a Guardian. sopsax

so i just took it all apart again and put a bit of an extra bend to the main spring. it slaps down harder and faster now. these things are such a pain in the @$$ to put back together! i wish there was a solid stud up thru the middle that the hammer pivots on and you could build the gun around it and then just slap the side plate on when everything was right.

welcome 250,,,hey naa will do just about anything to them mini"s so I hear,,,i'm sure they would tune that right up for you.....

bill7676

of course that's your bizz,,,,not trying to be a smartie pants or anything,,,me myself I wouldn't want to take a chance on such a fine little revolver...........

A nail is fine. Anything to hold everything together.
I use a drill bit.
Assemble every thing, even the side plate on the bit (nail). Then push out the bit (nail) with the hammer screw and everything stays in order.

If you have carpet on the floor where you are working, lay down newspaper all over the floor. It is easier to find the little pieces when you drop them. AND you WILL.

As I stated in a different post, when I sent my Pug in to have a conversion cylinder fitted, NAA replaced at no charge all springs and pins, etc.

I have had my first apart but will not take anymore apart as it was real hard tho get back together. I lost that little spring and had to ordered one from naa they sent two. And yes I lost one of those.  I could if I had to but not something im looking forward to

i seen a guy on youtube put the whole gun together, leave the grips off and then try and fish the main spring up through that opening but he must have had superman hands and fingers for such a feat
