Most singers insult our national anthem.  But here's one who doesn't.

Some people might be put off by this one, but it still gives me goose bumps. Maybe because I've been to so many games there.

This is how it's done at Hawk's games in Chicago. Some people consider the cheering to be an insult, but the fans there love the anthem.

I usually just sing and cheer at the end. Oh and not only is Wayne Messmer a great singer, he's one of the nicest guys around.

I've been to a Blackhawks game recently, and they still do that.  It is truly amazing.  It's wonderful to see people express their emotions and CHEER for our anthem and country.

Did you see where the US national anthem was booed in an LA soccer stadium a few weeks ago?

I'll take the Chicago version anytime.

The old building was the loudest. The anthem was actually damaging to your ears back then. They did decibel readings and it was equal to a jet engine on takeoff.

No, I hadn't heard about the soccer game, but sadly, I'm not surprised.  :-(

Tom, great version, and the flyover gave me tears (always does). But who's that child conducting the Boston Pops, LOL!

lewiss

Ajr, I see no disrespect - the crowd is cheering THEIR country! If they were cheering their team, that would be different. But look at the flags, and the signs. There's nothing wrong with loving your country!

ajr

Thanks Lewiss. Glad to hear that. I guess some who have complained have just taken the cheering the wrong way.
