i bought a used 22lr at a show a few weeks ago and the end of the hammer was all wore down. i figured it was dry fired a lot. so i ordered a new hammer, put it in and took it to the range today. i got like 10 shots off and then it was just clicking and the bullets wernt going off. i look at the hammer and its all wore down again and not even contacting the shells. im so disappointed right now...

250mav - I assume that this is the same gun you posted about in Does this look right? I have never disassembled one of my Minis so I have no insights. If I were you I would ship the gun back to NAA and ask them to put it together properly, or fix it if needed.

yeah im going to have to i guess. only think i can think is the spring was too tight but i dont think quality steel striking brass should cause that.

im so sad lol

I to would seed it back. There is something going on that is not normal. if you don't already have a Lr cylinder I would use this time to get one from naa when it's there

Best advice to everyone is when you buy a used gun it's always best to send it back to the factory it was made by for a comlpete overhaul . Consider it in the buying price no matter what the seller tells you . Heres a clear case of would'a , could'a , should'a . Send it back before it self destructs .   :-\
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

nahh im just gonna take a bit of a loss and pass this gun off to the next guy. i can spot cheap steel when i see it and im not going to loose sleep over a gun thats $200 bucks brand spanking new

"pass this gun off to the next guy"
And point out the problem, of course?

Still have it? How much you want for it?

As to sending every used gun back to the factory to be refurbished:
Out of the hundreds of used guns I have bought, not one has needed to be refurbished. The exception, of course are the 3 or 4 with known problems, and 2 of those went to a local gunsmith.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:
