OK, here are some more picture of some new Absoraka leather I got. I LOVE THESE!

These pictures show some new creations by the Absaroka Kid for NAA firearms. The ones I got are for the 4-inch Earl and the Minimaster, but he makes them for all other NAA's as well. He calls these the "skin tight collection." And they are what you think they are: they're sexy enough to appear at the poolside.

These skin-tight holster show off the lines and curves of your favorite NAA firearms. Check these out! I especially like the contoured holster for the Earl--and don't tell the Kid this, but I affectionately call that one my "Horsehead Holster" because, well, that's what it looks like. A horse head. It closely follows the contours of the of Earl perfectly, kind of like a skin-tight bathing suit follows the curves of a woman--don't tell my wife I said that one, either. ;)

Anyway, check out these new holsters and let me know what you think. You can contact the Kid directly or see what has for sale on eBay. But you gotta try these! I've got a few more pictures to post, but I think I already overdid it with these pictures. I had fun taking these photos, so, sorry, I had to post more than I should--but these are some nice looking holsters, don't you think?

(BTW, these photos are copyright by yours truly, but feel free to use them for whatever you might need--just shoot me off a private message and I'll give my permission. As always, these are the lower resolution versions to post and I have higher resolutions available. Just ask.)

These photos feature the Skin Tight holsters for the Minimaster and the 4-inch Earl. The Absoraka kid can make these holsters for any of the NAA line of mini-revolvers.

MR_22

And, my favorite, the Horse Head Holster, er, I mean, the Skin Tight Holster for the 4-inch Earl! :)

(My apologies for so many pictures, but I love these holsters! I couldn't narrow the photos down any more. These are less than half of the ones I really liked. Message me if you're interested in seeing more!)

MR_22

And the Minimaster. Note that the natural leather has marks in it and that this is typical and doesn't detract away from the quality of the holsters. In fact, the marks in the leather give it character, don't you think? :)

MR_22

So, that's it for photos. Neat holsters, eh? I think these holsters have that "western look" more so than some of the other pieces from the Absaroka Kid, don't you think? In fact, I also got a derringer holster from him for my 9mm derringer that's even got MORE of that western look. I'll have to post a picture of that, too. You'll love it. :) And yet it's also modern--how can you get more modern than 9mm? LOL.

Beautiful rig you have there MR_22 , very nice , clean and rugged looking at the same time . Which cylinder pin do you like more , the original or the newer model ?  :)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

MR_22 - neat holsters indeed! How would you characterize drawing one of those four inch Minis out of those holsters? Smooth? Easy? Hard?

Bye the way, very nice photos - a good background for those holsters.

Too many pictures , are you kidding . Bring them on . :)

Yeah, these are sweet holsters--some of my favorites from the Kid.

I actually like the newer twisting cylinder pin, but this Minimaster is one of the first NAA's I purchased, so it's the older style. I bought this Minimaster probably around 2001, if I recall correctly. I like it just fine. :)

Well, you can definitely feel the resistance as you pull them out--but honestly, most of that resistance comes from the lips of the holster. The Kid has formed lips at the mouth to draw back over the hammer section, so that it kind of closes in over the gun. Those lips must flex as you insert and pull out the gun. As for the inside, the holsters matches the shape of the gun so well that the gun slides in and out of the holster itself quite smoothly. If not for the lips at the mouths of the holster, the guns would slide in and out like butter. :)

It's a good, tight fit, but the holster doesn't hold onto the gun as you pull it out--the lips do, though.

All of the background accessories that you see in these shots were found by either my father or by me with a metal detector.

OK, I'll post some more pics--some with the 9mm holster as well. I'll have to pick some and crop them for posting.

Those are beautiful - I like the fitted look a lot. Dang. Now I need some new leather!

The Kid is making me a sort of a Wild Bunch holster for my Sig P238 - will be like this:

The holsters are nice.  Anyone know if you can order them with matching stitching?

Very nice indeed Mr. 22. I really like a holster to be heavily hand boned such as those. The boot grips combined with the new holsters really sets them apart.

The grips do look great - I had never considered a boot grip on the Mini Master - but it looks so good I might have to lean that way!

The Absaroka Kid is very accommodating to what you want. Contact him and let him know what you want. And let him know you saw my review on the NAA board. He'll love to hear that. :)

Mr. 22...fantastic post, end-to-end.  I don't know what I liked more your subject, pictures, or humor.  But for sure, I love your guns & holsters.  Now my Christmas list is growing and my husband is going to hate that! Lol.

RogueTS1,

Can you explain "hand boned"? I've wondered about these form-fitted holsters. I assume the leather is wet down and then "molded" to the gun by the boning.

Is that right? (Guess I could ask The Kid, but don't want to bug him too much.)

Haha, thanks, Auburn. Whatever I do, I like to have fun with it. These pictures were fun to take and I'm always happy to showcase The Kid's amazing work. :)

Paducah; yes hand boned refers to the method of leather molding in which the item/holster is wet down and molded by hand to the intended item with a rounded and hard object, usually a bone in the olden days, to get the custom fit wanted for the holster. I assume that some sort of pressure can be used these days to get a similar result by the high number producers in the market.

I have the sidewinder and would like to purchase one of these holsters. I like the one with the clip & snap that goes around the hammer. Where can I get one one of these?

Contact The Kid using the email from the other thread. Tell him you're ordering because of what you saw on the NAA board review. He'll be glad to hear it. :)
