I saw this on another thread and thought everyone here might enjoy it.

Not sure how it would be with a fire ball coming out and the hammer back...................

   Photoshop would be my guess.............

looks cool, but I agree...the hammer is cocked and if a round had just been fired it would be down on the fired casing.

NAA's NEW semiauto revolver. lol

I suspect the length of exposure captured the hammer in the cocked position and then as the gun fired the exposure ended with the fireball.  If you look you can see the area in front of the hammer looks a little blurry - like a hammer went there for a split second, but not long enough for the camera to capture it as darkly as it captured it in the cocked and stationary position, only for a split second.

You've got to remember that a picture captures more than just an instant - it captures everything that happens while the shutter is open.

I believe you are probably right ForrestKing. I do like the fire ring right before the flash and smoke. Just thought it was neat.

Just revisted the site that the picture came from and it was from high speed video and the hammer was in motion.

There are several other pictures of the neat intrest. Here is the link.

Naa introduces the double action revolver!

A video still complicates matters, since most cameras scan half the lines, then the other half (so it's like a double exposure in film). I agree that it is probably a valid image, but captured the hammer just as it was tripped and then the resulting fireball.
