I have tried to bring myself to order 1...

I just cannot seem to work myself into the cost...

It sucks, 'cause I REALLY want one but Jeeze..!

   E! :/

How did YOU bring yourself to DO it..?!?

Also, can someone post pics of it again please, I can't find 'em now..

It is just a Pug and a hundred bucks for a hinge. Once you buy it and the money is gone it will hurt a lot less. Stop thinking about it and just drop the hammer!

sirbarkalot

That is just COLD Chopprs!!!

You get a hinge, an extractor, a hand made gun that will be collectable...... and pride of ownership.............

(and actually it looks more like a magnum mini than a Pug)

   Barky

chopprs

....well maybe it didn't come out right. I was merely trying to justify the cost.

You are right, and hand made BILLET firearm!!!

chopprs

Here ya go.......

sirbarkalot

Is that the one you were secretly sent to test right after the first of the year Chopprs?????

   How is it holding up?

   Barky

sirbarkalot

I have spies everywhere...............

   Woof!  (shhhhhhh.....)

gunfixer

Thanks all... I think..! Lol..!

Gunfixer,

I think the pictures speak for themselves. How could you not buy one. This is a once in life time chance. I think!!!! Oh well, I am 70. What do I care.

Money well spent over the Pug.  Who can resist that picture.  Bootgrips and you picture a mini-earp. OK carrol. Only issue is what holster deserves this.

My $.02 worth (and bear in mind, inflation, so you know what this is really worth):

If you like the novelty of it, and can afford it, buy it. If they do not go into production, trying to get one later will be expensive. If they do go into production, you will still have an original, pre-production sample. This may bear a premium in the future, and it may not. Either way, if you want one, you will have one. I recommend against buying any gun hoping it will increase in value and become a highly sought after collectible. Buy it because you like it and want it.

Call and give them your info. Your CC will not be charged until it actually ships. Go ahead and make an extra CC payment or 2, and by the time it ships, you will not even owe the purchase price, making it seem like a real bargain.

Get it/them now. Later on in life you will wish that you had fulfilled that dream but it will be too late.

When you die, all the money you have saved by depriving yourself of "stuff" that you want, will be used by someone else to buy "stuff" that they want.

I am getting up there in years and just realized that fact. That is why I buy "stuff" that I want.

Wonderful words.....

I realized this long ago this is why I am always broke and smiling!

I don't want to be a good looking corpse. I want to skid into the grave with every ounce of me completely used up and worn out!

coinchop

When I was a kid I was always told ,

Money won't buy happyness, that was a crock.

Money I spend to buy what I want makes me

happy. What could make anybody happier than a new gun?

lashlarue

Ive been rich and I've been poor, rich is better!

bigcatdaddy

Too bad it's not a 22Mag... I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

cedarview kid

Um, the break top IS a .22 Magnum, right?

mayvik

Yes, it is .22 mag (only, for now).

zippovarga

I can already see the Buntline grips on my Break Top.

cedarview kid

Yah, that's what I'm thinkin', Zippo. ;)

By the way, does anybody think it makes sense to have a single-action revolver in each hand? I mean, how do you cock them, with your teeth? ;)

coinchop

mrmadhat

opposing thumbs help for sure coinchop, could you imagine 2 left thumbs, you couldnt get anything right handed to work

grayelky

One gun in each hand? Sure. I can shoot left handed. I can't hit anything left handed, but I can shoot left handed!

cedarview kid

I was thinking more of the rapid-fire cocking with the opposite hand; but yah, thumbs could work. LOL.

mayvik

If you have a good enough grip you might be able to slip-fire with one hand.  Maybe...

I suspect a lot of people that ordered two will not end up firing one of them, at least until if it's determined if there will be a second/production run.

ephraim

I guess y'all noticed the "BT 1" on the bottom rail of the breaktop. That's cool.As far as justifing the cost of the breaktop, just not having to deal with all the parts is worth the cost. Trying to hold the frame, cylinder, pin, and 5 bullets is just too complicated unless you are sitting down at a bench for a reload. I think the breaktop is worth 3 regular minis.

   E!

coinchop

When I have a gun in my hand I can cock it

with the thumb on that hand. Can't everybody?

When I shoot NAA revolvers I shoot them left handed most of the time. Every thing else I shoot right handed. I can cock a SA with either thumb holding a gun either hand.

It sometimes seems like I have two left thumbs

because my right thumb is half ground away

on one side and it doesn't bend at either

joint. Because the thumb doesn't bend it makes it harder to grip a mini with that hand.

Now everybody knows I have two left thumbs.

Could have been worse, came close to no thumb

and no hand. That would have sucked.

   Life is good!

gunfixer

You guys are KILLIN' me..! You all have a bunch of great points here..!

(Ephraim): I'm thinking this last statement is true, except..

I'm fairly willing to bet that the cylinder slides RIGHT OFF of that 'Lil Top Break and I'm thinking

that could be fun to "Juggle" as well..!

I also think it'd be cool to have several cylinders for those occasional fits of Rapid-ish(!?)

Re-Loads, i.e.: Feelin' kinda Like "The Outlaw Josie Whales..!"

   (Only teenier..! Lol..!)

But... You guys REALLY got me thinkin' here, so "Thank you ALL" for the Points of View..!

(I guess I may just have to call again & confirm my order..! Lol..!) Argh..!

(Kinda hard to imagine it stackin' up to the "P&R" 2.5", Mod.66, S&W I was "Eye-Ballin'.."

   though... Hmmm...!!)  ;)

ephraim

Gunfixer,

Outlaw josie Whales, now that was one of my all time favorite movies. If I come back that's who I want to be!

You are right. You can't have too many cylinders

Of course some folks may be able to  handle these little parts better than I can. Although once I get them together I shoot pretty good.

   E!

ephraim

Gunfixer,

I have to add,Outlaw josie Whales, "I think I will stay out here and fight awhile". Words to live by.

I agree - hand-made or machined billet puts it in a different category than production.  Have my name on one, but a pair would be nice -

I assume the lockwork/hammer, etc. will still be MIM (metal injection molded), or will that be machined like the old ones?

And - to plant a seed of design thought, if it hasn't already been considered - an opportunity to convert barrels as well as conversion/2nd cylinders.  Same as those, it would need fitting, but everything forward of the hinge could be swapped to a 4" bbl....or ?

chopprs

I think Sandy said the action will be exactly as the current guns. Just the frame is different(obviously)......Any new parts will be machined from billet. If the gun goes into production they will be cast and machined as the current minis.
