My cylinder pin backs out from recoil, any ideas?

Welcome to the board!

Can you provide more information? How old is your mini? What model? What caliber?

This was a known issue for older mini-revolvers, but I think it's mostly been fixed. If you have an older pin, you may need an upgrade. Describe it or post a picture.

If you have the older style pin NAA will redo it for free but you must ship it to them. I had this done on my Black Widow that I bought used. Before it was a very slow single shot pistol as the cylinder pin backed out with every shot & could not just be pushed back in. It caused a bad jamb. It requires more than just a new pin & that's why it must be returned to the factory.

Welcome - JBOOI. Most likely the cylinder pin is defective or so old the spring is weak. You do not say if the gun is old or new or even what model, so no guesses. Try giving NAA a call and explaining the problem. If the gun is new they may just send you a new pin; if not you can order one. I would try replacing the pin before sending the gun back.

If you call NAA, they will likely send a new one.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

JBOO1,

That was one of my first questions when I joined this forum.

I bought a 22 mag from a pawn shop. After firing, the pin would back off.

I took it back to the shop. The owner gave it a look and did a little research. I can't remember all he said but he said my model had an earlier designed pin than newer models. He traded me even for a Sherriff mag with a newer style pin.

I would call or email NAA.
