What Have I got here Not NAA but close in size, says Royal on top of barrel. Anyone know what this is?

OV-1D

A suicide special is what that is , that's what they refer to those 22's they mass produced back in the very late 1800's early 1900's . Come with a number of different names . Very unreliable and dangerous , shaving , spitting , fall apart generally blow up in your hand . Good for only a paper weight actually .  ;) :o ???

Thanks OV any idea who made them and when they stopped making these. This one was found in the woods of NH all rusted and pitted , will never work again , just trying to research it a little .

I just like the way these two complement each other.
Top one is American derringer. Pocket carried it till the sidewinder showed up. I think the two companies could compliment each other. American derringer does not have a lot of advertising or distribution that I know of. Their web site is rather dated.....

Let me try again. Hot diddley it worked. Note one is standard .32 & one is melted. I see to post the picture I have to
put something in the message box & not just try to post the picture.

Uncle_Lee

Very good!!!
The 32 is a nice little pocket piece.
In a pair, they are even nicer....

theysayimnotme

Well you got me started on how to post the pictures but it still took me quite a bit of effort to get there. I still don't know how to control the size of the pictures or to crop them.
I had thought of sending my .32 to NAA for the meltdown when I saw one that was already melted on consignment for $175.00.
With shipping costs that means the pistol was almost free. When I got it home I discovered why the seller may have wanted to get rid of it. The hammer would go back but not drop. I compared the two pistols & discovered a spring that was out of place on the transfer bar. After I got it in place it works perfectly.
I have also bought the Black Widow, the Freedom Arms revolver & the .22 short on consignments. They were all at very good prices including the $139 I just paid for the .22 short.
I don't think the sellers knew what they had. Pistols that are not on the Kalifornia approved list should sell for a premium.

Uncle_Lee

You are doing good.
Keep it up.
I don't have the patience to wait for a bargain.
If I want it when it comes up for sale.....I buy it.
Can't help my self.

I have had my .22LR Mini for many years. The pin on cylinder hand broke some years ago, so it sat in a box in storage until recently.

I just got it back from NAA, where they installed the new "Safety cylinder", new grips and basically rebuilt the entire gun. I can't wait to take it out to the range:

Mic214 - Welcome to the asylum!

That's a fine photo - I'm sure you'll enjoy shooting that one.

Have fun - but be forewarned - these little jewels seem to multiply once you start shooting them.

They are very addictive!
