Short version: I stumbled across a decent ammo deal at Natchez Shooters Supply: CCI Mini-Mag .22 LRHP, price $7.49/box of 100- that's 100, not 50. Limit 5 boxes per day. Why did I post this?

There's a guy who posts lots of ammo test videos on Youtube, under name shootingthebull410. He has some videos on 2 different NAA revolvers & testing into regulation ballistic gelatin, etc. He tested a lot of different .22 LR in a .22 LR frame, 1 1/8" barrel NAA MIni- no HP's expanded, so most important factor was penetration, & best performer by a good bit was CCI Mini-Mag .22 LR HP with good consistent penetration near 12". This handily beat several popular choices like the CCI Stinger. We tend to go by the rare chronograph reports, or how hard it seems to hit or kick, but the gelatin is at least repeatable & exactly the same target medium for all loads tested. We also usually assume a 40-gr RN will out-penetrate a 36-37-38 gr HP- nope, he also tested CCI Mini Mag 40 gr solid, it didn't do as well. He used theCCI Mini-Mag .22 LRHP  bulk-packed in the box with a gator-hunter on it, but it's still CCI Mini-Mag .22 LRHP. Natchez has the 100 pack plastic boxes, where it's so handy to slide the lid back just a bit & dispense 5 rounds at a time- just right for your NAA .22 revolver.  ;) The CCI HP also has the benefit of being usually a good performer from *any* other .22 LR you may have, handgun or rifle, & excellent for small game hunting too. $hipping could be cheaper, but it's not near as bad as some I've seen.

I get nothing from Natchez, just thought someone might be interested.

I saw that also, but the shipping killed it for me.

I buy AR Tactical whenever I can find it, it is just CCI's "generic" version of Mini Mag, designed for .22 AR's.

It runs great in my Beretta Bobcat and 10/22 and still has enough "pop" for last ditch self defense.
