   rattlesnake skin grips



   Could you, 45flint, take an extra set of the 'SIDEWIDER' grips and cover them in a small rattlesnake's skin ? Have you ever done a grip like that ?



   My first thought was a pair of your stags, it's true.

It would not be hard to take standard grips and cover them with rattlesnake skin and them coat with epoxy. I assume you would want to cover them somehow. I think I will stick with stag. It will be interesting to me how the gun presents itself with its new design and barrel lengths. Will it look modern, look like a SAA if boot gripped? It will be interesting.

I have a Coonan Classic (1911 style pistol that shoots 357 magnums) with rattle snake skin grips.

When I first got the grips I was a little worried to shoot with them cause I thought it could damage the snake skin. About 2500 rounds latter they are still working great!

My thought is to take the Chong grip and Dremel sand the area around the cylinder shield to match the sidewinder shield and made it flow perfectly up from the grip

It might be difficult to pull off by hand? But I do think if it could come right up to the shield with no gaps it would like very cool. Maybe Chong can CNC one like that but he would need the gun and it will be a limited market for a time
