Oversized Rosewood grips

Ok, here's a seemingly newbie question for you.
I've purchased many new grips for my collection of handguns and have never had an issue with separating the two halves to install them on the pistol. I just received my NAA Oversized Rosewood grips and tried to separate them. They will not come apart and I don't feel like damaging them by trying harder than I have.
I tried the gentle use of a (insulated with tape) flat blade screwdriver as a pry,....nope!
I tried installing the grip screw and while holding the other side pull them apart,....nope!
Soo,..have any of you had the same issue?
The grips are really beautiful and seamless. All the routing machine work is completed so they are not one piece. Guessing it has something to do with the wood finishing compound that may be acting like a mild glue.
Hopefully I'll get them apart prior to the arrival of my new MM trail SA.
Any ideas?

Mine can be a little tight at times but I am able to pry them apart with a screw driver. I just wedge the screw driver in between the two halves from the top of the grip and wiggle it about.

I wonder if you could get a little WD-40 or Break-free around the pins.

Marine grease is better on those pins for them not to stick together too tight . :)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

WD-40 strikes again. Worked like a charm on separating the oversized grips.
Just met my Mini Master this morning. Signed papers and picking it up next Sunday.
Then,.... to the out back and some sighting in and plinking fun.

I've read a few posts stating that the stock rubber or wooden rosewood oversized grips on the BW and MM are "butt ugly" and look way too big. However:
* If I were to purchase an Earl, the only stocks I'd have would be the Old Westy looking boot grips. Fits the gun's purpose, intent and 1860's look.
* Regarding the BW and MM. They are modern looking guns, a bit smaller than most and the stock grips to my eye look exactly right for the look, size and intent of the piece.
I've had quite a few handguns in my lifetime and prefer to base my mods on form and function. The new (***,...name escapes me) grips that many of you are purchasing here and love look ok to me as well. Looks based in function and form. Anyway to each his own. The NAA oversized rosewood grips are just right for my paws. The fit and finish are top shelf and required no fitting whatsoever. Just had the devils own time getting them to separate for installation. WD-40 still rules.

So having said all that, when is,..... the NAA DA .357 swing out cylinder (swings to the left) , large frame (Smith "L" frame sized) revolver based on the MM / BW looks with the new larger type oversized rosewood grips coming out??? With the existing high quality QC continued, frame and barrel machined out of one piece of SS, it would be a quite a tack driver. What a beauty that would be!!!! Oh yea, 2", 4" and 6.5 " barrels.
Picking up my MM day after tomorrow! Longest 10 days I've been through in a while. California is still verrrrrrrry strange. Hummm, maybe Utah!
