Hello everyone. I have been reading this board for awhile now and after all the great information bought my first NAA.
I chose the black widow but was really torn between it and a Pug.
I haven't got the BW in my hands yet. I ordered it off Buds. Should be here Tuesday and I can't wait.
Does anyone have any ideals of a way it would fit in a duty belt pouch that would blend in with the rest of the stuff on the belt? I was thinking it may fit in a glock mag case with the flaps covering the handle.
I work as an armed security guard BTW.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new blackwidow.  You will love it. I'm not sure how it will fit in a belt pouch. When I carry my BW on my belt it is in a driving holster by patriot joe.  With that being said I almost always Carry mine in my strong side front pocket in an uncle Mike's #2 pocket holster. Great summer time concealment gun. Enjoy :)

Welcome to the Forum, Zennashton! The Black Widow was a good choice. Did it come with both the 22 LR and 22 WMR cylinders? I hope you find a holster you like. I am on my third type of pocket holster, and 4th grip on mine.

You will love your BW. I carry mine everyday and so does one of my grandchildren and his wife.  If and when you decide to get more the BW will always be one to keep.

Yes I wanted to be able to use 22lr and 22 mag. That was a big buying point for me over the Pug. I couldn't find a Pug with conversion.

Zennashton - Welcome to this forum!

If you want to carry the Black Widow in a belt pouch of some kind, you may want to order some different grips. The standard Black Widow grips add a lot of size to the gun. Any Magnum Mini grip will fit the Black Widow. Here are comparison photos of the BW with standard BW grips and standard Magnum Mini grips. I do not have any ideas about what pouch it will fit in.

I will order a set of Pug grips and boot grips and see what I like best. I was thinking it may fit in a ar 15 pouch some police I have seen wearing. I'll have to make a trip to the local cop shop and see. It's always hard to find stuff that's fits a 2.25 duty belt other then the normal stuff.
When I'm not working I have a pocket holster that will work.
I really like that driving holster I seen in another post also.

The Magnum Frame Rubber Slip On Grips are the best of all the available grips, with CVang Grips the next best. I put some stag look grips on mine mainly for looks. Here is a picture of CVang grips on a Black Widow. http://2cooltoolz.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/chonggrips.jpg.w560h368.jpg

I pick it up Thursday can't wait to get a few rounds down range. I searched my ammo boxes and could not find the 200 rounds of magnum I know I had. Oh well I already have a few thousand cci mini mags.

To Old To Run

I have a great memory also, just real short, wait till you forget what you went looking for ;D
Tell us how you do at the range, once you get a chance to shoot it.

Well I have it in my hands now. I love the little Revolver. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to put it in the safety slot lol. I have the conversion model with two cylinders. Question one cylinder is marked L and the other has no markings. I only have 22 lr to load it. I assume the L cylinder is the long rifle one? I stuck a 22 in both and the unmarked one felt a tiny bit loose. Anyway I did not have time to fire it as I had to get to work.

Right now I have it sitting in my 5.11 patrol shirt in the hidden chest pocket. It fits perfectly there and does not print at all. These shirts have a deep hidden chest pocket that almost reaches the arm pit. This is working better then I had hoped. I now think I need a good thin pocket holster. I could not be more pleased with the purchase.

Yes, the long rifle cylinder has an "L" stamped on the exit end.
The magnum cylinder's "M" may be covered with stuff from being shot at the factory.
I have got a couple on new ones that I had to clean the ends of the cylinders with a brush before I could find the markings.

I'm not so sure I want to change the stock grips after holding it they seem perfect for my hands. I should have bought one of these years ago. Huge difference beside my Ruger Blackhawk.  In the 80's single action revolvers was the only handguns I would own.

I have black c vang grips for my widow but haven't had them on for a while. I much prefer the factory oversized grips.  I may look into getting some oversized rosewood grips later.

I looked really hard and I swear there is no markings on the extra cilender I even tried a magnifying glass.

Zen - I have five magnum cylinders and only one has any marking. It is an older cylinder. In my experience NAA normally marks magnum frame LR cylinders with a L or LR, but magnum cylinders are not normally marked.

Thanks for the info. I have been carrying it the last two days. It's so easy to carry but big enough to shoot well. This is one of the few firearms I have ever bought that I think is perfect just as it came from the factory.

I agree Zennashton.  I love my Black widow and would not want it to be any smaller, or any larger.  I use the standard rubber grips also.

For carrying in a hidden shirt pocket, you might look at a thin piece of suede leather, or it's possible you might be able to create a secure place for the Black Widow with a little bit of tailoring to the pocket.  Having the trigger covered isn't so essential with a single action, as you know, because the trigger doesn't engage unless the hammer's fully cocked.
