Id sure like to see a side opening C&P revolver.  I don't have a clue how the manufacturing end works; but "it seems simple enuf'..." just changing the cylinder to a black powder version.  Anybody else think it would be a good idea???

Of course while we're at it Id like a Break Open C&P as well....

It has probably been done.Because of the loading process a flip out or break top probably would not speed things up.C&B is SLOW! That is part of the reason the regs are much less. A extra cylinder on the belt was the rapid reload.Get them from NAA. Even then carrying a loaded cylinder with caps on is not wise. You drop it and bang!Every chamber is a short gun.

Its NOT about speed, it IS about COOL

On the surface, it seems simple enough. With the cylinder open, how you gonna hold it steady enough to get the ball seated on the powder, fully?
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

Greetings Edelweiss,
Welcome to the forum.
It is good to see another shooter that is more cool than functional.
If necessary, we'll kill'um with cool.

Gee I don't know, maybe the same way you hold a full size C&B revolver, or maybe with a loading stand, or maybe just a wooden block under the cylinder, or maybe.....
