32NAA practice ammo success

I just went through 50 rounds of practice ammo with my 32NAA Guardian. No failures to feed, no malfunctions of any kind. I think that's a real recommendation for the CH4D die set.

The brass was formed from new Starline .380, and the 71 grain Hornady round nose FMJ bullets were seated over 2.1 grains of Bullseye. I tweaked the seating die up and down until I got a very nice roll crimp. This was a deliberately light load because I don't want to beat up my wrist. I don't expect the Guardian to be like my Beretta Tomcat, which I have fired for 200 rounds and more with complete comfort.

Next step, clean up the collected brass and load another batch. I probably won't get around to chronoing these loads for a while, I just want them to function. I like to get 500 rounds or more through a handgun before I consider myself comfortable with it.

Way cool. Have you considered selling them?

Do you have a Chrony? I could Chrony some, if you're interested.

If I reload your expended ammo, I can sell you the service of reloading it. If I sell you ammo that isn't your cases I run afoul of Federal restrictions, primarily an excise tax. If you or anyone would like to send me some cases (.380 or 32NAA) and have me reload them for you so you can get some cheap practice ammo, I'd be glad to. Drop me a note at [email protected] and we can get specific.

Makes sense. I don't have a lot of spent .32NAA brass, because I don't shoot it a lot, because the ammo is hard to replace. LOL. I'll certainly make sure I keep it, though.

I'll gladly take you up on your offer to chronograph some. Drop me a note offline and tell me where to send it.

I can do that, but we need to make sure we comply with ammunition shipping regulations. Maybe I can send you some brass and you can send it back reloaded.

I can ship it to you with no problems. It's if I want to sell it to you that there are regulatory hoops to jump through.
