Okay, they will be for sale in California. They may not be for sale in Komifornia, though...

   Sorry. I couldn't help myself.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

I was told by the engineers that the cylinder swings to the right because the cylinder bolt prevents it from swinging to the left.

Uncle_Lee

Sounds good.

If it WON'T swing to the left, then by all means swing it to the right.

I'll take two of them with LR conversions.

As a left-handed shooter, the right-swinging cylinder is a big plus for me on a gun this small.

Oh, and I signed up here just so I could have the opportunity to get in on the early-bird special.

I may not have the money, but I'll have the opportunity.

cedarview kid

Maybe we can call it The Republican Revolver--because it swings to the right.

westerly1965

Teacher ~ They will only be for sale in Kali if they make one with a 4 inch barrel.  Otherwise it is my understanding that NAA is no longer doing business with the state of Kali therefore they will be sending in no new guns to take the drop test and that means no new guns to Kali  Unless of course NAA makes a sidewinder with 4 inch barrel that would of course meet the single action exemption allowing it to come in with out the tests.  Since Sandy has mentioned that they "should be able to cover all barrel lengths" I believe that they will make one with the longer barrel but how long that may take I do not know.  At the pace they are going with the R&D on it I might be living in America again by the time they are actually shipping so it May not be a problem for me.  Then it again it might lol only time will tell..

airplinker

I like the name "Republican Revolver" . Collector you're a card. LOL

fscjedi

Ok, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post.  I just literally stumbled across the thread about this new SideWinder while reading about the Rangers (of which, I happily have one).  How does one go about getting on this Early Bird list, because I want one of these with a vengeance!

babyseal

Wahoo!

I can't wait. I am already pestering Canadian dealers to get some in!

Please make a 106mm barrel we can get this gun!

zippovarga

I CERTAINLY Hope that the cylinder WILL drop to the Right! It's ABOUT TIME someone put us poor neglected Lefties out there ahead of the Righties with cumbersome Left dropping cylinders!!!!! IF this is indeed to drop out the right side, I'm definitely IN!! I'll still be in if it drops to the left, but will then return to my little lefty world and cope as best I can. lol

flowder

I am left eye dominate...I am ok with drop right cylinder. "Republican" ...sounds good to me!

Uncle_Lee

Fscjedi (?)

Stick around and the early bird special will be posted here.

It will be sometime before Christmas (I hope).

If they call it The Republican I won't be able to afford it (Even if it is available in Kalifornia).

Like I keep telling my wife, "We ain't rich enough to be Republicans."

bud

Funny, I'm a Republican, so I guess I'm rich.

I would like to KEEP what I got!!

chopprs

I am a Republican am I am broker than ZHIT!

I think you have it wrong pal! If you are a Democrat you have Obamabux to buy stuff with....guns, clothes, dinners out, hookers, young boys, whatever your Democrat fancy is!

If you run out of dough, just apply for a Solar Energy grant......and you will have MILLIONS!

widow420

i've been using the internet since the early 90s and that statement you just made is actually the dumbest thing i have ever heard in my effin' life!

chopprs

"there was internet in the early 90s "

There sure was, I remember when Al Gore invented it.

Black duracoat on a Sidewinder would give you a black snake. (I like it)

We had computers talkin' to eachother a lot in 75 at Sunoco and TI. I sent my first personal email using DOS in 79 at UT. We were running TRS80's and pen plotters....LOL. Nice video of Hunter Thompson and Conan. I like the idea of the black sidewinder.

chopprs

I was emailing in DOS in 1985 in school.

I was also writing my own programming and the Military had already been using the internet for some time....so what!

   Besides Al Gore, who cares!

flowder

I forgot to mention I did not buy Apple stock at the time it came out.  (example of youthful non forethought)

chopprs

WOW!!!

   What was it at then?

   Ten cents a share?

How many times has it split since then?

flowder

22 a share initially, 1980

heyjoe

i didnt start using computers until 1999.  i do remember taking computer programming course back in college in 1974 and having to punch a big stack of cards for the simplest commands. the computer was also the size of a very large room. it would be another 25 years before i bothered with them again.
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

widow420

chops, just curious. honest question. no intention of being mean to you, cuz you have been so nice to me.  but...did you atleast buy the guys a shot or a beer after you "banged" them? (again, one of those smile face things)

I took a Fortran course in the late sixties. On the first machine we used the commands had to be entered on teletype tape & you had to assign an address for each command & each result. Any error in your program & the machine just chugged away & did nothing.

Then we got to use the big machine where you had to enter each command on a seperate IBM card & then you had to use a comparator to make sure you had typed each one correctly.

Finally got a TI-99 & taught myself to use Basic. Came in very handy later with my first PC that had Basic built in.

Yea, back on track.  Thanks for the link Hark!
