New member, new mini.  Should I pull the grips and try to clean/lube the action, or just perform a 'normal' clean/lube routine?

OLD and GRUMPY

Welcome. Removing the side plate may void the warranty . Think it has a reverse thread screw. Wipe it down and shoot! Get some JB bore polish. It helped a lot.

The side cover DOES have a reverse thread screw (righty-loosey   lefty - tighty)
I wouldn't advise removing it unless you can repair watches.............

Be careful if remove the grips.
The cylinder bolt spring (a piece of stiff wire) can fly across the room.

I would pull the grips; but only to change them to the ever better Secret Service grips. Otherwise clean it normally and go shoot it. Then of course, clean it again.

Welcome to the gang.
